I use velcro quite a lot as it is more kind to the plants then coated wire or clips. You also have more flexibility to cut to the appropriate length you need if securing them to a cane or stake. I just keep adding more as the plants grow, keeping the other ones in situ. The plant will push the velcro apart if it grows to thick. They also last a lot longer than you'd expect & I can get a few years out of them, just removing them when the plant is removed. I wrap mine around an old handle to store off season just to stop them all sticking to each other as it really is strong velcro & takes ages to unravel.

I like this velcro because it can be cut to the size that I require. Very useful.

Quite versatile around the house and garden, and strong enough to retain even thick stems to posts. The one thing I'd change would be the width - one of double width would be especially good for heavy duty use.

Bought these specifically for tying up my tomato plants this year. Found them to be ideal as they are reasonably priced and can easily be cut to the length you need.The Velcro grips very strongly and I haven't had a problem with them slipping or coming loose.The bonus is they should be reusable after the growing season. I don't know how robust they are, but the few that I have removed and repositioned have reattached without a problem.

Good prduct though there are more economic options.

I liked this product because of its versatility. I used it to tie my tomato and cucumber plants to their bamboo support.
