Very impressed.
I've loved Sherlock Holmes since I was a kid. I saw this and expected it to be casual and cool. It is not. It is awesome and very in depth. My wife and I are 2 hours & 4 pages of notes into the first case. I'm am blown away at how well this is made and the stories laid out. I would estimate that there is easily 30+ hours of material in this pack (10 case files) this isn't something your going to run through in a 30 min session. If you like crime, mysteries, investigations at a moderate to serious level this is for you. If your looking for something casual like a game of clue it is not. Personally after leaving a semi-long career in LE for something safer this is scratching an itch in my brain that I haven't been able to in years since investigating real cases. I don't impress easily but this has truly done it. (Cases 1-4 are stand alone, cases 5-10 build on all previous cases)

Best SHCD box out there (at the moment)
These cases are excellently written and innovative. The first few are great for introducing newbies to the system and after that, the cases become deeper and thinkier. I strongly recommend this game for anyone who enjoyed the first three boxes, or someone who wants to start playing this system. Once you have played all ten cases in the box, head over to BoardGameGeek. Look for the page on the Thames Murders and Other Cases (the brown box) where you will find many fan cases to play.

Great detective game
Addicting and very hard BUT worth it! I think it works best with 3 players and up. My husband and I do them together sometimes but it takes a lot longer lol

Mystery RPG
A group of friends and I get together every so often for mystery game night. We've been finishing through the Hunt A Killer series and we find this series quite enjoyable. We became used to the structure of having a pile of evidence to go through a few puzzles to figure out as one of the only type of mystery game. I decided to buy this game after seeing such high reviews online. The first case we did was structured so differently than what we were used to and was a lot more challenging. Not that we didn't use our brains before, but this style of mystery needed all of us to be locked in. After the great trial of the first case we started getting the hang of it and started to (hopefully) think like Sherlock. I compare the style to an RPG video game where you have to speak to specific people in a specific order to unlock different dialogue. You also have the walking simulator part where you have to go to a specific location the game allows you to go to find clues. It's a pretty interesting concept and works really well. I like how there's little mysteries you are solving along with the biggest mystery in each case. The story is pretty cohesive, too. The long narrative and dialogue is not usually my cup of tea, but my group made it fun. Once you immerse yourself, it really enhances your mystery solving experience! I just bought another set of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective and my group and I are excited to solve those cases too.

Such a fun game
The story is engaging. The mechanics are easy and keep you guessing. Not sure anyone can beat Holmes but the journey is really worth your time!

So much fun and such high quality
This is an amazing collection of ( 10 )single Sherlock Holmes style cases, where you are given a main story, a newspaper for the day of the events, a map of London with so many points of interest, a London directory, assistants who can help guide your investigation, and a guide/investigation book that tells you what you find at each location you visit. There is a built in system to keep you from accidentally coming upon the correct answer, and questions in the back that help you score how well you have done your job. You see it isn’t just right or wrong, it’s also could you have done it in less steps than Holmes, and did you figure out that side mystery? Fun to play alone or with a few friends. So worth the money. I will be back for the others in the series.

Tough learning curve
Niche audience. Plays longer than advertised. Not a party game.
