Buy this book three times
Yes, I said buy it three times. Once on Kindle, so it's available on any device with your annotations and highlights. Once on paper, because you'll want to flip through, mark it up, and remind yourself of what to try next. And an extra copy, to give to that colleague you want to see succeed.There are a ton of personal branding resources out there. Why did I buy one more? I bought The Road to Recognition because I've been a follower of Barry Feldman's work for years, and he's the real deal. His content marketing savvy is unquestionable, his copy writing ability proven again and again. It's not hype when I can see it working on myself -- the stuff I click on because of how he says it, the stuff I learn because he doesn't just rehash what everyone else is saying.I've been in online marketing myself for over 20 years, and it's not everybody that impresses me with fresh insights. Knowing Barry in a professional capacity, I knew this resource was going to be above and beyond. It did not disappoint.(Sorry, Seth. I don't know you, so I don't feel equipped to sing your praises. But if you're part of the reason this book got written, then thank you, thank you, thank you!)Reasons to add this book to your shelf:- It doesn't waste your time. It's concise.- It doesn't miss anything important. You follow this roadmap, you'll see success.- Because of the above, it's a handy quick reference. Read through this baby once a year and keep yourself on track and moving forward.The only thing that detracts from the execution of the content, if you could really call it detracting, is the A-Z arrangement of the topics. Personally, I'd group things so that related items are together. But it's a good thing they didn't consult me, because using the alphabet for an "A to Z" approach is super catchy, and shares really well on social media. Besides, books are more fun when you can highlight them, annotate the margins to refer to other sections, and put sticky flags in the corners.Oh, I should mention one other thing: This book covers "everything you need to know" to succeed, but it's not designed to give you step by step instructions for each item. Trust me, this is a good thing. The latest and greatest how-to on the tactics in this book are to be found online, and that's where you should go for that hands-on, step-by-step detail. This book is your golden guide to what's vital for success and why.

From point A to point Z, begin here if your destination is personal branding.
I was fortunate to read an advance copy of Seth Price and Barry Feldman’s new book: The Road to Recognition. And, I am glad I did.As a digital marketing professor that teaches undergraduates about personal branding, I find that their A-to-Z Guide provides an easy-to-read and understand introduction to this growing and professionally relevant topic.Their 26 chapters follow the alphabet down a path of understanding of the major components of building a personal brand.I particularly liked the chapters explaining and justifying the importance of A=Authenticity, B=Blogging, C=Content, D=Design, G=Google, J=Joining, K=Keywords, and L=LinkedIn. The final chapters of Y=You Do and Z=Zeal provide a great summary and inspiration to get up and start branding yourself.The Road to Recognition is a must read by students and other aspiring young professionals that want to learn how to take control of their reputation and guide their personal brand for job search and career success.Thank you, Seth and Barry. You have earned an A+.

This is the Book We've All Been Waiting For!
I am so happy with this book!! Having seen Seth Price Keynote and impart wisdom and knowledge to many different crowds of Realtors who hung on his every word, I had eagerly awaited the release of Seth & Barry's book. When the book finally arrived in my hands, I was so excited to dive in and get started. I studied graphic design in high school and college and have a strong appreciation for eye-pleasing design, beautifully laid-out pages and excellent grammar, so what struck me was the beauty of this book. It's a joy to read such eye-pleasing pages that were carefully and thoughtfully laid out with precision and flair. The authors practice what they preach in that they involved different industry leaders and quoted them all throughout this book. I teach Realtors for a living and I found myself nodding in agreement as I read each page of "The Road to Recognition." While I can't take any credit for the book, it's filled with the type of content I would deliver if I were to write such a book. It echoes the very principles I teach to audiences and I will certainly be reading excerpts from this book (especially the section on video) to my class attendees. This is a book that every small business owner should purchase and learn from - it's something that every Realtor needs to read! I was so impressed with the content, I purchased a copy for my entire sales team and my husband purchased about 50 for his friends and colleagues. It's an easy and enjoyable read and anyone who buys it will be highlighting instructional, inspiring passages and rereading it over again.

The hardest thing with books is being able to take away learning that you can almost instantly apply; not this one, as it's ready made for those who want to be able to find solutions fast.A fantastic book that's easy on the eye and even easier to engage with.

A truly actionable resource that kits you out for finding your road to recognition
Ironically, the key thrust felt through this book is Z for Zeal and it's the last letter of the alphabet - which for this book being organised at A to Z, found it's logical place at the back of the book. But no harm done, as it hits home the truth of all that is recommended in this book - that without the energy and passion to go for it, it will be a much harder and uneventful road. I constantly found myself reaching for a pen to write down tips and soon began to realise there are too many to write down! This has to be one of the most practical, useful and actionable resources on the market today. I will most definitely be turning its pages to follow the road to recognition in my own business. Highly recommend

Gems of Wisdom and Gold
I'm almost finished this book but had to stop to let others know how useful this book is! Whether your are a newbie to the field of branding (like me) or an expert, you'll find many gems of wisdom and gold in these pages. The format is appealing, with photos and words from experts beginning each chapter, which follow through the letters of the alphabet. So from A is for Authenticity and on to z for Zeal, you'll find yourself stopping, as I did, to take action on the suggestions within. Highly recommended!
