I love this cast iron pan!!
I am so glad I took a chance on a product that did NOT have a review. The thing is I have been trying different takoyaki pans(electric, aluminum with nonstick coating etc), some strange cast iron takoyaki pans that looked like black paint and also danish type pans(ball size is too big) to make takoyaki here in US. Non-stick coated aluminum pans were o.k. They r good at first but I find u either scratch the nonstick coating off while in use and was only a short term usage. Other 'cast iron type' takoyaki pans (I tried similarly shaped but in square pan shape) purported to be cast iron did not seem to be cast iron at all. I have used lodge cast iron pans and know how to season. Those never properly seasoned. All of these pans were eventually tossed. Then I found this Kasian cast iron and ordered somewhat reluctantly. It arrived yesterday and this morning I tried it. The pan arrived without any strange grease or smell and was pristine and was pre-seasoned similar to Lodge. I lightly oiled for making takoyaki and none stuck, heat was even(as one would expect from cast iron pan). I love it so far and so glad I took a chance! The price of pan was cheap for the quality you are getting and the size of the ball is perfect. One batch makes good size serving for two. Please let the picture speak for itself! Third picture shows pan after it cooked two batches of takoyaki. Nothing sticks, and should last life-time!

Great product and customer service!
I seldom give reviews but this item is an exception. Great product + great customer service = 5 stars. An honest mistake was made and I tried to contact the seller. An immediate resolution was made on their end and got the replacement in 2 days.As for the product, it's thick and well made. The first time I used it, I tried pancake batter with choco chips since I was still waiting for my takoyaki kit. As expected, it did not stick and the heat distribution was pretty good. The people that said their food got stuck, I'm pretty sure it's a user error issue as there's a proper way of cooking on cast irons.

My kids love it when i run pancake batter through it
Awesome pan. I seasoned it once prior to using and i was able to turn batter and make balls. I have a glass topped infrared stove top and the thick cast iron cooked food evenly. My kids love it when i run pancake batter through it (i use less baking powder). If you're competent with cast iron i would definitely go with this one. If you're not, its not hard to figure out with a little effort. While it does not have a handle that can facilitate moving and rotating it with bare hands, you can hook a utensil into one of the handle holes and move it around that way instead of fiddling around with mits. A bit smaller then i imagined but it's the perfect size for making two servings. I did remove a couple little bumps inside two of the cups with a chisel because it bothered me and I'm a metalworker. It worked fine before but i wanted the holes to be a bit cleaner for easier turning.

Cast Iron as Advertised
I had takoyaki in Osaka and was recently reminded they were easy to make. Looked up the pans and selected this one as it wasn't too small (amount made in one batch) and not too big. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but there seem to be a lot of fun things to make besides takoyaki and the cast iron is similar to any new preseasoned cast iron pan. Expect to have years of fun with it.

Heavy duty
This is a nice pan for Kanom Krok. However the holes are way too small, which makes cooking and retrieving them a challenge. The handles on mine are very rough. My husband is going to have to buy a metal file and smooth it out. It is easy to clean after seasoning it properly about 5 times.

Product is not stable, difficult to clean
This is a very poor quality product. Doesn't stay put on the gas range, very difficult to clean and even more difficult to use unless you use tons of oil, food items will stick. Wish I could return this product for a better item. Complete waste of money!

Excellent when used with proper instructions
Very fine product. Sturdy and pretty.New users - please be mindful of the instructions - use more oil first couple of times to season it more. And wait before turning till it is well done on one side. That way it comes off easily. I learnt this on my second attempt. So don’t give up. It’s a very nice product. Will recommend to my friends.

A great pan
I love this takoyaki pan. It is nice and solid and seems like it'll pick up some good seasoning with use. It makes smallish but very good takoyaki and I'm glad to have one that I don't have to worry about it losing its coating like the non-stick ones I've seen. I am confident it will hold up to my takoyaki obsession for many years.
