Very poor quality, used this to support a wire antenna 50feet long took the top two sections out as they would not support the wire without bending like a banana, in the end it shatterd with almost no weight at all. I would hate to see how it would deal with a moderate size fish. It's cheap but there's a reason for that. Unless mine mad a manufacturing fault, I would avoid personaly
