Great Battles for Boys The American Revolution

It's an excellent way to spark interest in boys to read.

My nephews (8 and 9) specifically requested more from this series because they enjoyed other titles in it so much.

I bought this for my 11 year old grandson last Christmas. He loves history and now has the entire collection. The books are easy to read and he enjoys the variety of books for different battles.

My two boys who are 12 and 14 loved this book and fought over who got to read it because they were reading it at the same time. I showed it to them and they stated reading and were hooked. I read a little myself and enjoyed it and i like the additional references at the end of the chapters. I bought two others from this same author for my sons to read, this time they can each read one and then switch.

Love this author and his books! We have read them all! I like that at the end of each chapter, there are resources to continue learning! Before we found this series, my son was a very reluctant reader. NOW, he looks forward to reading EVERY night. Cannot wait to see what comes next!

My 9yo son had been hoping that Joe Giorello would write this book! He is already halfway through reading it and said, “It’s really good, mom.” It would be a great supplement to any American Revolution study or just a great free read or read aloud. Each chapter ends with a list of other books to read, internet links, and sometimes movie recommendations. We have other books in this series and they are all wonderful.

Excellent history books for kids. Actually not just for kids… I’ve learned a ton by reading these with my 10-year-old son. I don’t see any reason why girls wouldn’t enjoy these too. We have most of the books in the series and they are all exceptional.
