Dune HD Max Vision 4K, HDR+, Ultra HD, Premium Full-Sized Media Player, Smart Android TV Box, 4Gb / 32Gb, 2X HDD, BT, WiFi 2.4/5, MKV, H.265, 4Kp60

While I'm technically savvy, other members of my household are not. Up to now we have been using a 2010 Mede8er media player that is super simple but that doesn't play any of the newer formats like 4K, h265, hevc and so on. Over the years I've purchased various different android media devices but they have generally been cumbersome and complex to use for non technical people with user unfriendly user interfaces with terrible remote controllers. The DUNE HD product is PERFECT. Visually beautiful user interface, very intuitive even for non-technical people, plays all the formats I've thrown at it, great picture and sound, easy to set up without needing a PHD. Has a ton of features and functions for the technical savvy people that I will never use. A big thumbs up from me.

It does everything 100% as described

General impressions, Dune HD Max Vision 4k player:Picture quality is top notch …. hard to see any difference vs.my Zidoo Z9X player. From standby, Dune boots in about 7 seconds vs. the 25 seconds for Zidoo.The Dune promptly found my NAS and scanned movies, TV series and performance. It wasn’t sure it had found the correct movie about 10% of the time, but its first choice from a list was always the correct match. There was one movie, however, (The Age of Adaline) that it couldn’t find; the Zidoo found it automatically.In general, I found the Dune has fewer options than the Zidoo. This can be a (+) or (-), depending on your needs. For example, there doesn’t seem to be a way to backup the player’s settings in case a reset is needed. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a way to backup the poster wall or export movie data to a NFO file. In addition, the Dune does not provide a selection of HDCP choices, including “off”. Chroma subsampling default values do not seem to match industry standards in some cases, but this does not seem to show up in picture quality (which is great). I am not an expert in this area, so perhaps just a misunderstanding on my part.Finally, there are AVS and AV forums for the Dune that can be of some help, but they are not comparable to the Zidoo factory forum. Dune support answers questions promptly, however.In summary, I like the Dune player for its relative simplicity and picture quality. I will keep it along with the Zidoo to see what happens, since both companies are very active with firmware improvements.

Unit arrived DOA. Powers up, shows logo, then black screen. Attempted all reset procedures and recovery procedures but same problem. No menu or other functions except on screen volume display when pressing volume up/down on remote.

Lo tengo hace 2 meses y de momento todo bien.

La qualità complessiva di questo lettore multimediale è sorprendente. Collegato direttamente ad un tv di nuova generazione 4k mi ha impressionato per la qualità delle immagini. Tuttavia, a me serviva da collegare ad un amplificatore A/V Denon un pò datato e non c'è stato verso di farlo vedere se non con una dominante di colore violetto. La possibilità teorica di correggere il colore ci sarebbe nelle funzionalità del box, tuttavia non sono riuscito a farla funzionare. Sono stato sul punto di sostituire l'amplificatore ma con il rischio che neanche in tal modo avrei risolto il problema, quindi ho preferito restituire il Dune. L'operazione con Amazon prime è avvenuta senza alcun problema.

Dit is mijn vierde Dune multimediaspeler. Ik heb al heel wat spelers in mijn bezit gehad maar Dune blijft voor mij de beste speler. Speelt alle formaten en kan overweg met (file)menustructuren van zowel DVD, Blu Ray als UHD. Daarnaast een fantastische beeldkwaliteit. Het enige wat ik nog mis is het gebruik van externe ondertiteling files met TVseries in .iso formaat (meerdere afleveringen binnen de .iso structuur).

reçu vite et très bien emballé, pour l'installation bien pas compliqué, la qualité est très bien j'avais un dune avant moins performant, celui ci s'est le top, branché sur internet pour les mise a jour et aussi pour avoir les jaquettes, a voir dans le temps pour la solidité, pour le moment le top malgré le cout trop chère je pense
