Seasons Coloring Book: Published in Sweden as Tidevarv (Hanna Karlzon) Review: Beautiful and inspiring artwork! - This is one of the most gorgeous coloring books I own. The paper quality is thick and smooth, perfect for colored pencils and even light markers without bleed-through. Hanna Karlzon’s illustrations are detailed yet inviting, with a mix of whimsical nature scenes, elegant portraits, and seasonal themes that make every page feel special. The hardcover binding makes it sturdy and easy to color in, and the single-sided pages mean I don’t have to worry about ruining the next design. Every time I open this book, I feel inspired to try new color palettes and techniques. A must-have for anyone who loves adult coloring books and appreciates high-quality art and materials. Review: Beautiful hard cover book, high quality paper, and imaginative artwork. Buy 1 for yourself & some to give as gifts. - I have a serious adult coloring addiction. I'm not an artist. But, I love a book that has unusual, intricate, beautiful pictures. I have purchased all 4 of Hanna Karlzon's books and never been disappointed. I love Johanna Basford's books as well. If you're not familiar w/ Ms. Karlzon's books, I'd say they are a bit similar to Ms. Basford's as far as quality goes. There's more imagination to Ms. Karlzon's books. I'd say that Ms. Basford's lean more to whimsy. I can't stand cutesy tootsie books. But, I do love these books. The images are drawn beautifully. While there are similarities in all her books, Ms. Karlzon somehow keeps it fresh & fun. I smile as soon as I open her books. She places quite a few gemstones in her pictures. I've found coloring those with glitter gel pens really makes them pop when the rest of the page is colored using colored pencils. I've even added a light layer of glitter glue over some & they came out great. It might not be considered "art"; but, I love the way it came out. If you're new to this hobby &can do it, break down & buy yourself a nice set of Prismacolor Premier, Inktense, or other quality pencil set. Watch some YouTube videos on coloring. You'd be surprised how different your artwork will look when you learn to shade or just color a drop of water the right way. I even learned how to use pastels on my background so that I don't use up all my pencils. I can't stand leaving the background just white. It feels unfinished to me. Also, invest in a good eraser, blending pencil, and pencil sharpener. Poke around on desertcart & read reviews. The right tools don't have to cost a fortune. My favorite sharpener is an Alvin brass bullet sharpener. You can buy replacement blades for it so you don't have to keep replacing your sharpener when it gets dull. I even bought a helical X-Acto sharpener that is supposed to be bolted to a table, just like the ones we used in school many years ago. I simply rest it on my lap & use it. I kept reading reviews recommending using a helical sharpener. I get an amazingly sharp point which allows me to get into the most intricate detail. I use a Farber Castell eraser that looks like a pencil with a brush on the end for erasing in small areas.. It's the type of eraser people used to use to erase mistakes when typing. You'll also want to get a larger eraser for larger areas. I own a Tombow MONO Sand eraser for large areas. Derwent & Ohuhu make battery operated erasers. There's also a Tombow Mono Zero eraser that comes with refills. I haven't tried those last 3 yet. But, they're on my list. I enjoy coloring in many styles of books & in all price ranges. But, these books are the best I've found yet. I really appreciate the fact that this Seasons book gives us some pages with holiday & seasonal themes. Sometimes, I want to color a witch at Halloween. But, I know I don't want to color an entire book of them. Likewise, I enjoy coloring winter holiday themed pictures. There are several in this book. They're aimed at adults, not children. That's not to say this book isn't appropriate for children. A child could definitely color in this. But, it is a higher quality book that I think adults will truly appreciate. The picture variety is excellent. I have found that markers bleed through. So, I stick to my colored pencils and gel pens. I enjoy looking at all the photos people attach to their reviews. I love seeing how different the same basic picture can look when colored by different people. Again, I'm not an artist. But, I do love coloring in adult coloring books & learning new techniques. I own close to 30 books. This book is my favorite! I'd say her Daydreams book is my second favorite. I will add pics of my own once I get a few done. In the mean time, by all means, buy this book & all Hanna Karlzon's other books. Her artwork is stunning, the paper quality makes a huge difference, and the hardcover protects your work. If you know someone who enjoys coloring as a hobby, any of Ms. Karlzon's books would make a wonderful gift. I hope I didn't bore you with my suggestions about buying the right tools. I just wish someone would have mentioned some of those when I first started out. Check out the Today's Deals. I've gotten great buys there. I click on Arts & Crafts to see what bargains are available. Even simple carrying cases such as BTSKY's 160 slot pencil holder or Huhuhero's 80 slot marker holder are tools that will make your hobby more enjoyable just by making it easier to take your coloring tools with you. Beautifully illustrated book!
I really love the style of Hanna Karlzon and this book is as beautiful as all others. I love that it has a hard cover. The pages are cream color and medium weight, maybe around pound and is great for most colored pencils, but markers will bleed through and watercolors will make the pages curl. Derwent Inktense Pencils work fine as long as you do not use an excessive amount of water when blending. Unlike one of her other books tehre are no visible printing issues such as images ghosting through pages. Artwork has been printed on both sides. I love the variety of images and consistency of her artwork. If you are a Hanna Karlzon fan then this is a must have book!

Big fan
Another great hit for Hanna Karlzon. I have all 4 of her books now. I really like her drawing style. This is a beautiful hard covered book. The paper is heavy and wonderful for gel pens and color pencils. I have used markers a few times on some of her previous books. As long as you don't have a heavy hand they actually work too without going through the paper. I believe they were Bic markers or Sharpies. I've also used these pens ( shown below) for some tiny detail work in most of my adult coloring books and they don't seep through either. I believe these pages are bound with glue. Her books look like they are very expensive books. They really are beautiful. I had to buy a gift for a 15 year old girl for Christmas. Let me tell you, it was a hit with her and all her friends at school. Please if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Hope you enjoy this book you as much as I do.

Calling all colorists
First I want to say there wasn’t anything I disliked about this book. It’s a beautiful book each picture is detail oriented the paper is a good quality the colors lay down beautifully on it. There was joy on every page you just want to immerse yourself into it and relax melts all your anxiety brings out all of your inner energy and artistic qualities. I I do love and highly recommend this book to everyone who loves to see and color beautiful images.

Great artist, great tooth
This artist, Hanna Karlzon is great at drawing but repeats the same flowers, leaves, cats, dogs, birds, beetles, frogs, reindeer, fox, butterflys, mice , snakes, rabbits and perfume bottles women faces, ruffle tops, mushrooms, crystals etc.etc. in all her books and I bought four of them. Starting with "Jewelry Box, Magical Dawn, Summer Nights and Seasons". I saw the reviews and the video of what's enclosed in each book and I was fascinated with some of the drawing that were different ( ladies faces with fancy lashes , flowery headdress etc. I said the same in my other review, it would be nice to see different flowers instead of the same. More faces with ethic backgrounds, different scenery's with her lady's sitting or standing with a man in a restaurant, houses like adding castles, children, bedroom scene, different tatoo's besides stars. If I could draw and publish coloring books each book would be different. If you like flowers etc. than draw other species of flowers and if you like people than draw different people not a copycat of the same birds and people and flowers etc. With such details that she puts into her pictures ; go to Pinterest for ideas. There are lots of varies of everything.

I love all these colouring books in this series by this artist. The artwork is beautiful and very unusual. The paper stock is high quality and my felt tips don’t bleed through to the following page (anything like a sharpie pen will bleed through) Can be used for painting too or mixed media, the pictures are simple yet detailed and I can use different media to alter the look of some of the characters to totally personalise my book. Perfect for anyone who loves colouring.
