Installed it and could already tell it's the best constructed hose splitter I've used. Don't buy the ones from Home Depot or Lowes yuck I've had those things seize up, start leaking within two years. Buy this one. I bet it'll work just fine for 4+ years. Time will tell. I'll be back in 2 years to update (don't think I won't, and I'll rip it a new one if it failed before that lol)

This "Y" fitting reminds me of how things used to be built, like from 1950s Melnor before they went all cheap China. The threads are machined accurately, the supplied washers are of good quality, and the valve stems on each side seem to be substantial, without any slop or stickiness. Let's give it a few years and see how it holds up. Caution: Remove fittings like this come winter from your frost-resistant spigot (like the Woodford, shown), or you will defeat the drainout properties of the spigot that keep it from freezing and splitting your pipe.

Item is working as it should. The only reason I knocked a star is because the internal passageways are smaller than my other splitter. It will cut down the volume of water allowed to pass. I wish it was a "full port" splitter. Other than that, it's been outside functioning since around March so far and it has some heavy hoses and timers on it. No problems yet.

Use this in our garden, where my wife has multiple hoses going to sprinklers. Have had previous similar items, that were plastic, or had plastic components, and eventually broke. This is solid metal, seems more heavy duty and sturdy- much better than the other ones I've used over the years.Very happy with this, for the quality and also the levers to turn the outlets on and off, which also work better then others that I have had.

I have used and replaced many of these with plastic pieces over the years. This one is well constructed and the valves to turn on water are easy and smooth to turn. 1 month in but so far pretty impressed.

They’re solid and worked just great. Have them on all the RVs and all the Spicket’s around the house.
