Expires Soon, P65 Health Warning
I don't understand how a product that is organic can have a P65 warning on the package. Label says, "This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsinic." Something doesn't add up here. Also, I bought the 3 pound package and it expires in 2 months! They already smell like they're fermenting and certainly don't taste right either. They will be fully expired before I finish them, that is if I do. Not a good product.

Exceeded my expectations
If you are wanting dried apricots that are bright orange and have a good but almost “not ripe” taste, these aren’t for you. These are natural and don’t have sulfur dioxide to protect the bright orange color.Because there is no sulfur dioxide, the apricots ripen while drying and turn dark; sometimes they even look black. Since they are dried naturally, the sugars seem to concentrate while drying and provide a very nice and unique sweet taste. After going through a 1 pound bag per week for a month and loving them, and since there is uncertainty in the food supply, I just stocked up and bought six 3 pound bags.Made in nature has a good idea going and I recommend these. I wouldn’t let other reviews sway you from at least trying a pound.Note: somewhere I read on their site that once a bag is open, it’s probably best to refrigerate them. Also, the latest packaging states that these are grown in Turkey.

Beautifully ripened in Turkish sun
At my senioritis condition, I need foods that will keep me healthy for the next years. I have a few more book to write. So I could not be happier with these apricots. First, ignore the reviewers who want the bright colored apricots. They are treated with sulfur. That's where the color comes from. Jump on these unsulfured, un messed-with organic babies filled with potassium and calcium.Younger buyers may not care, but being an Internet researcher, I learned that apricots have more calcium than any other fruit! Kiwi and oranges are next on the list in that order. I haven't fallen lately and don't plan to, but seniors (who have a propensity for falling) must protect their bone structure, and adding calcium to your diet is an excellent strategy.I nibble on these tasty babies while writing, and I think their iron content gives me extra energy. I'm ready to go back to my work-in-progress with special enthusiasm. And they don't stick to my fingers. They say that if you dream of fresh apricots, it's a symbol of increased happiness and wealth. Artists have used them to symbolize female genitalia. What other fruit can give you equal doses of calcium and history?

Great product . . . . but consider ordering directly from Made In Nature's website
I'll start here by saying that this is my favorite dried apricot brand so far.I've been purchasing these in stores and online for about 5 years. So . . . you may be seeing mixed reviews on this product due to spoilage/ moldy fruit in the bag. After receiving both good and spoiled bags from the Amazon store, I had to investigate. 'Turns out, Made In Nature has no control over storage conditions once the product is in the Amazon warehouse. This includes the amount of time the bags may have been sitting on the shelf. When you order directly from the Made In Nature website, you'll be receiving product from their own temperature controlled warehouses, thus you'll be receiving the freshest product possible. As others have said, there is a no return policy for this particular product . . . so you're ordering AT YOUR OWN RISK. The apricots may or may not be in the best condition.Just to be clear, this review intended to inform potential customers about this particular product. There is no ill will towards Amazon, and I hope to see both Made In Nature and Amazon continue to thrive.

Organic Apricots 3 lb Bag
Horrible smell when opened. The dried apricots were not moist and basically dry and hard to chew. I had to put some in a small water dish and place in the microwave to soften them. I ordered the 3lb bag and wasted my money. The taste is not what I expected, I understand there is no additional sugar but; horrible taste in my opinion. Not sure what I will actually do with the rest of the unused apricots. Would not purchase these again.
