Seems to be a great little battery charger
I ordered this charger to charge some batteries I keep in the truck for jump starts of both my vehicle and others'. It arrived quickly and in good shape. It came with a set of quick disconnect alligator clamps, and an instruction book. Read the instructions, connected the clips to the battery, and then to the charger, and plugged it into the wall socket. Got three pretty, "non-blinking", solid green lights, and no red fault lights. So, basically the charger was telling me that my battery, which had been in my cold truck, and had jumped several vehicles over the past month, was still fully charged. Well, that didn't seem right. So, tried another battery that had been laying around in the garage for a couple years. Still told me that it was fully charge too ... I was about ready to cuss and throw the charger away, when I decided to try a different set of quick disconnect clips. As if by magic, everything changed. The charge light started blinking, and the whine of the charger doing it cyclic charge, that it does initially, was singing away. Seems as though those clips that came with the charger were defective, and I took one star off for that. Now, I'm very pleased with this little charger. It not only revived that old shop battery, but has charged all my batteries that I use for cars, and trailers, and I presently have it doing maintenance charge on my travel trailer battery (i.i.e. connected and maintaining the charge). This is a great little charger now that I replaced the clips that came with it ... I can recommend it.

This thing works fine.
Nice, inexpensive charger. I have one on each of my cars and they keep the battery fresh.

Nice charger, BUT
I like everything about this charger. Well constructed & simple to use. LEDS's let you know clearly know what the charger is doing. For 12V batteries, just plug it in and it's ready to go; 12 volt operation is the default mode. So, if you lose power (100 - 240Vac) this unit will automatically come back on and continue charging/maintaining all by itself. Leads are plenty long and are fused. Alligator clips do the job.BUT, if you lose power and it does not come back on (i.e.; no 120Vac), I found that this charger actually drains the battery to the tune of 20 mA while connected. So if you have, for example, an 18AH battery (like on my emergency generator) this could completely drain the battery in about 2 weeks (maybe damaging it?) if you don't disconnect it from the battery when there is no input power. However, I'm not 100% certain if there is built-in circuitry to prevent it from completely discharging the battery: I have no simple way of testing this without risking damage to a battery. This not a problem for me since I check all my chargers at least twice a week. I have 8 chargers in use in the winter of various brands, some have much smaller loss of power discharge currents (less than 1 mA) and would take significantly longer to discharge a battery (sans any built-in circuitry to limit that).Knowing this, I still made a repeat purchase and am satisfied. I also had a minor issue with one and the customer service was EXCELLENT! Great vendor!

Works better than expected.
I was unsure if id like this charger or not, after using a battery tender one for years, but I'm glad I went with it.For some reason the battery tender leads are different polarity, and the design on this one is actually betterThe positive on the battery tender brand was the exposed metal piece, and the negative was encased in rubber, not a big deal unless the cap breaks off, then you have a positive exposed metal tip flapping around while you ride. After removing the old one and connecting the new leads, it works perfectly. The only small problems I've found are that the cap does fit kind of loosely, and the cable is a little short, but that's just nit picky stuff, I'm glad to have a charger that actually works well again
