The X209-WRA 9-inch Restyle system is Alpine engineered for 2011-2017 Jeep Wranglers. It’s an AM/FM/CD/DVD receiver with embedded navigation and Bluetooth wireless technology. It has a 9-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen and Wrangler-fitted dash bezel. When you’re driving with the Wrangler’s top off, sometimes you can’t help getting dusty or wet. The X209-WRA is ready with a weatherproof touch screen and bezel rated at IP53 for protection against dust with limited ingress and fresh water spray up to 60° vertical. The X209-WRA is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. iPhone users can make and receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed through the touch screen or “Voice” button to activate Siri voice control and is compatible with iPhone 5 and later (iPhone must be connected via Apple lightning cable). The X209-WRA is also Android Auto Compatible. Android Auto was designed with safety in mind. With larger touch targets, a simplified interface, and easy-to-use voice actions, it's designed to minimize distraction so drivers can stay focused on the road (requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth connection; requires an Android phone running 5.0 [Lollipop] or higher and the Android Auto app). Android Auto is accessed through the touch screen or “Voice” button with voice control. You can select Apple CarPlay and Android Auto maps for urban adventures, but still get embedded navigation guidance if you lose cellular service off the beaten path. The X209-WRA retains select factory controls like the voice activated media player and steering wheel controls, and displays information like tire pressure. Add a rear view camera (sold separately) for added confidence. The X209-WRA is authorized to be Sold By and Shipped From . Amazing Product
Amazing product, completely changes the look. Easy to use, install is moderate to advanced - as you have to cut some of the dash and there are a lot of wires on the unit you have to stuff into the dash. I added the SiriusXM module. In the future I will be adding the accessory and HDMI modules.

Expensive! But functional
This thing is EXPENSIVE, but it's a great add-on to my Jeep.

HAVE TO CUT DASH UP FOR INSTALL
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT YOUR DASH AND WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PUT THE OEM BACK IN IF NEEDED!

Don't bother
Buyer BEWARE!If you're buying this you know that you have to cut open your dash. Not a big deal-- if you're keeping this head unit. But what happens when the unit has an issue? Mine had some isues - - OOOPS!So option A: complete install with no chance to have the sub turn on or B: leave a hole in the dash for 2 weeks while this unit is returned and another sent out.By the by, I've seen this written in other Alpine product reviews, Alpine is THE MOST overpriced of all mobile audio, so you might expect better customer service. Don't. It was Alpine customer service to tech to repair service around in a circle without resolution or the first understanding of the issue. Rude and dismissive. It is like buying a Mercedes S-Class and getting Yugo customer care.Thank goodness for Amazon!

this system is great. However
When working correctly, this system is great. However, I've had nothing but trouble with it since day one. I had it professionally installed because I wanted to make sure everything was done right. First, the prongs in the connector for the steering wheel controls doesn't fit. The man who installed it spoke with someone from Crutchfield who could not help him. They told him he would have to call Alpine customer care. This was 3 weeks ago, he still can't get ahold of anyone at Alpine. He has left messages on top of messages and no one will call him back. He waited on hold one day for over 45 minutes. Aside from that, when you have the winch/light bar switches on on the screen, the volume on the stereo won't work. There are times the screen just goes blue (I have attached a picture) and you have to turn the jeep off to get it to come back on. Very frustrating for something you have paid over $3000 for!!
