Some kittens can wear them as early as age 12 weeks (3 months). To test, try a nail cap on first without the adhesive. If it looks too big, don't glue it on. The nail cap should fit snugly, like a glove. To accommodate younger kittens, you can trim the base of the nail cap making it smaller so it will fit your kitten's nail. Kittens up to about 5 pounds / 2.5kg and/or 5 months generally fit the kitten size. S - Small : (approximately 6 months old-approximately 6-8 pounds 2.5-4 kg) Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size if they are growing fast or are large-breed cats. Small-boned adult cats often wear the small size. If your cat seems smaller than an average full-grown cat, choose small. M - Medium : (approximately 9-13 pounds 4-6 kg) Most adult average size cats wear medium. L - Large : (approximately 14 pounds 6kg and up ) Very large-boned and large-breed cats wear large. Maine Coons, for example, are very large cats and generally wear large.

I LOVE these tips
I LOVE these tips!!! I have a small Poodle that would tear me up . I put these tips on her with very little effort. Front &back paws and set her down and she had no trouble at all with them!!! And i am a older women, and my dog is very touchy about her nails. But like i said , no problem getting them on or her liking them!! Great product!

Run large, waste a lot of glue and don't stay on long enough
After reading other reviews, I didn't take a chance on the glue that came with these, so this review is based solely on the caps. The caps are far too wide, even though I ordered the small size for my 9 lb cat. Consequently, they waste a TON of glue. With my name brand, I would generally get 30-40 caps per tube. With these, I got about 15. They also don't stay on very well because they are so wide, so I have to reapply them much more often (roughly every 3 weeks, compared to about 5 with name brand). If your cat is anything like mine, you know this is not a pleasant task! So, pay a few extra bucks for the name brand. Save yourself the frustration.

They were super easy to put on and the cats didn't seem ...
My son came to stay with us for a couple of months and brought his two cats with him. I am not opposed to cats, but we had just bought brand new furniture. He agreed to give these nail caps a try. They were super easy to put on and the cats didn't seem to mind at all. They still acted a little like they wanted to scratch, at first, but these covers protected my furniture. One or two caps did fall off after 2 weeks, but no biggie, we had lots of extras.

I like that everything comes in a storage box and there ...
I like that everything comes in a storage box and there are many colors to choose from. The fine applicator tip that attaches to the super glue can come off though and cause horrible super glue leaks. Knee jerk reaction is to try and pick the now super glue covered tip up and still hang on to the cat you're applying the nails to... long story short, lots of things glued to your hands. Be careful! But these are great if you have a calm cat and aren't clumsy.

Good but didnt receive all of the order.
They are what I wanted, they work great, but in the description it promised 100 claw caps. I only got 90. I know that's not much, but when I order something I expect to get all of the product that I buy. When I buy a sandwich I expect it to not come with a bite taken out of it.

Sizes are meaningless, cannot speak to the glue.
We have small cats (one smaller than the other). We ordered a small and an extra small and they were identical save for the label. Not only that, but they were not small or extra small, but rather an assortment of different sizes and colors. The colors were fine, but the random sizes were useless to us. This was false advertising, so we sent them back.

Excellent product
These are great! I paid less for these than I did for the ones in the pet store and they have lasted much longer. They are much easier to get on the cat because they are not a hard plastic. They are more flexible than the hard ones - almost like silicone so they are probably more comfortable so the cat does not try to pull them off. They have been on the cat for about 2 weeks now and he has kept them all on. With the pet store brand, he started losing them the day after application. This is an excellent product.

Do not use... Causes chemical burn
I am absolutely devastated. I put these on my cats a while back and thought they worked really well. I noticed they flinched a bit more than I remembered when I used soft paws, but I just assumed it was the normal dislike of having their nails done. This time I realized they were flinching after the nail had been on for a second or so. But I continued to put them on. When I got to the last nail of my second cat, I didn't get it on right so I slid it off to reposition. Then I heard a sizzling sound and saw small trails of smoke come off it. The chemicals in the glue are somehow burning the cats. Needless to say, my cat only has nine nails on now and the remainder of the nails and glue are immediately going in the garbage. I will never purchase anything but soft paws from now on. If I could give zero stars, I would.
