Electronic Air Cleaner 1400 CFM 84-25052-07 Electronic Air Cleaners work by placing a charge on airborne particles utilizing the principle of two-stage electrostatic precipitation and then collecting them like a magnet. They remove small, invisible particles that bypass standard air filters. Air is drawn by the ventilating system/blower through a washable metal mesh pre-filter, which traps large dust particles. The remaining particles (some as small as 0.01 microns) pass into a strong electrical field (ionizing section) where the particulate receives an electrical charge. The charged particles are then trapped into a negatively charged series of equally spaced parallel plates.
