The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Tenth Season [DVD]

This is hands down my favorite TV show. However, this copy of the show is flawed. I should have returned. It skips a lot and has to many artifacts. After waiting to order it disappointed.

The show itself is quality and despite a couple of uneven and choppy episode this is classic funny and charming Big Bang Theory. Crucially however, the discs I received were encoded poorly. This was especially noticeable on the first disc (of 3) but plagued all discs. The image quality is very poor with pixelated images that look like a low quality internet stream instead of a good quality DVD. The first disc also had audio errors with popping noises that made me think my speakers were going out. Experimentation revealed a problem on all the episode on the first disc. The problems were bad enough that I returned the set. So, worth ordering but beware of poor encoding and image quality. That is unacceptable for a professionally manufactured product.

The Big Bang Theory is a sitcom about four nerdy thirtysomething scientists who work at CalTech. It stars Johnny Galecki, Darlene’s boyfriend from Roseanne. This was how the sitcom was originally described to me. So unappealing was the description that I didn’t watch it for a year. Once I finally did, I devoured it; it instantly became my favorite sitcom. The rest of America agreed. As time went by, more and more people discovered this show. In its final seasons, it was consistently the highest-rated sitcom in the country. There’s a good reason for that: this show is great!The four scientists are:- Supersmart theoretical physicist Sheldon, who is as advanced in physics as he is stunted in social skills. Many have speculated that Sheldon has Aspergers. The shows writers initially stated that they did not write Sheldon to have Aspergers. I don’t just think Sheldon has Aspergers - I think they all do. Sheldon is portrayed by Jim Parsons, who has rightfully won numerous Emmys for this role.- Experimental physicist Leonard is Sheldon’s long-suffering roommate who pines for the neurotypical girl next door, waitress and wannabe actress Penny. Johnny Galecki's portrayal of Leonard is perfect. In general, all of the actors are well cast, and the ensemble cast really clicks.- Astrophysicist Raj initially suffers from selective mutism; he cannot speak when a woman is present.- Mama’s boy engineer Howard rounds out the group.At its heart, this sitcom is about the development of these four young men, especially in regards to their relationships with women. The sitcom never just stays with its successful formula. Instead, it permits its characters to really develop. Relationships with women - some long, some short - come and go. Marriages take place. Forever unseen babies are born. It is a delight to see the characters make real progress in their lives.One of the ways in which this sitcom really shines is in guest appearances. Wil Wheaton is a recurring favorite, as is Stephen Hawking. Guest stars are drawn from such shows as Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly. Bill Gates makes an appearance, as does Neil Gaiman. The guest star list is nerd nirvana.My favorite aspect of the show is the constant references to the things geeks like, whether it’s TV shows or movies, video games or ComicCon. This show has validated an entire subculture. And, really, why shouldn’t it? Why should grown men be belittled for having paraphernalia from a favorite franchise while other grown men decorate their man caves in sports paraphernalia? Why is one socially acceptable and the other not? Well, thanks to The Big Bang Theory, no more.12 years. Not a single weak season. Sure, there was an occasional weak episode. But this show could have gone on forever and never gotten old.(The one weak spot is the Leonard-Penny relationship. These two have literally nothing in common, and it shows. In the end, the best the writers could do was envelop them in insult humor. That’s not to say that one of these brainiac boys could not have had a successful relationship with an intellectually-inferior attractive blonde. It’s just that this particular relationship clearly does not work.)

It's difficult for a comedy show to go 10 years and remain funny, but the 'BBT' cast and crew pull it off without a hitch. In many ways I prefer the earlier, more innocent days of the show, but this season still delivers a ton of laughs along with some great cameos.

the 3 stars are for the shipping quality, the season was great. 2 of the 3 disks were floating in the case, one of the holders is broke so will never stay. while they were scratched up all disks played without a hickup. have ordered 1-10 this way and season 10 being the only busted up case to be sent i guess im still rocking a 90% quality rate!

This is a fun series to watch. It is nice to see how they have all the characters evolve and mature over the seasons. It is not totally necessary to watch all the previous seasons, but I feel you will get more enjoyment and understanding from the later seasons if you do.

I really like the Big Band Theory. I think the show has changed quite a bit since the guys started to have girlfriends and wives and I'm not sure it still holds the same attraction as when it was new but it's a good show. I would say the tenth season is OK. It's not as innovative or funny as some of the earlier seasons but it's still the same characters we have come to love.

I love this series,and being able to watch it anytime I want is great!! My only complaint actually has nothing to do with the product itself. It is the fact that I preordered the item, and was expecting it to be delivered on or the day after the item was released. We did not actually get it until almost two weeks after and Amazon did not do anything to make it right.

Ovviamente per gli amanti del genere, non può mancare nella cineteca di chi, come me, ha acquistato tutte le stagioni precedenti, al di là delle critiche positive o negative.Il cofanetto rispecchia lo stile dei precedenti, simpatico e ben assortito, ma, come nei precedenti, critico la scelta di inserire i titoli degli episodi all' interno della custodia e, quindi, coperti dai DVD (un piccolo opuscolo all'interno sarebbe stato gradito, visto anche il prezzo).A parte questo, soddisfattissimo.

Anche se l'ho già visto parecchio tempo fa su un ben noto canale On-Demand, TBBT è una delle pochissime serie comedy che merita di essere collezionata su supporto ottico.

Sono un grande fan di TBBT, durante le prime stagioni aspettavo il martedì sera per vedere in anteprima la puntata sub-ita :)La serie che ha sdoganato definitivamente il concetto di nerd.Personaggi caratterizzati benissimo di cui vorremmo essere amici.Con il finale forse più soddisfacente degli ultimi anni (qualcuno ha detto stagione 8 di GoT????)Peccato che sia uscita solo in dvd in Italia; poco male, la collezione in dvd forse è solo un feticcio in quest'epoca di servizi in streaming.

Che dire, ormai questa serie tv si presenta da sola. Grande ritorno di tutti i nerd, e rispettive signore, al completo. Tra pannolini, vita matrimoniale, convivenze, e sconvolgimenti vari, le risate sono assicurate. Consigliato a tutti coloro che hanno adorato le passate stagioni

24 episodi di puro divertimento coi 'nostri' eroi che non si risparmiano in nessuna puntata. Il finale quasi apre all'undicesima stagione che è già in onda negli USA.
