Very helpful
Really worked for us when we got our new dog and he kept coming off the harness. All we had to do is connect this to his actual collar and it worked perfectly

SO helpful with my reactive dog
an absolute game-changer for pet owners who want added security and peace of mind during walks, runs, or hikes. The dual clasp design is incredibly sturdy and easy to use, providing an extra layer of protection against accidental leash disconnections—a must-have feature for energetic dogs or those who tend to pull--especially reactive dogs. What sets this clip apart is its versatility. It works seamlessly with both collars and no-pull harnesses, making it perfect for training or everyday use. The sleek black design is understated yet durable, and the quality materials ensure it will stand up to regular use.Installation is simple, and the clip feels lightweight yet secure, so it doesn’t add bulk or discomfort for your pup. I also appreciate how it promotes safer outings, giving me confidence that my dog is securely connected at all times. If you’re looking for a reliable safety clip for walking, running, or hiking with your dog, this one is a fantastic choice. It’s practical, durable, and delivers exactly what it promises. Highly recommend! I feel so much more comfortable on walks with my girl now.

Backup strap review! Reactive dog approved:)
I never write reviews but I didn’t see any other for this product, so here’s my thoughts. I have two reactive dogs, 50 & 55 lbs. pit border mixes. We have harnesses and collars, they are both able to slip out of any collar (and they do fit properly), and they are both extremely strong so we’ve had leashes and other equipment snap on us before. They walk better on their collars but we never wanted to incase they slipped out for safety reasons. The way we set ours up is put their harness on, then their collar, then put the main leash clip on the collar ring. With the backup strap we take one end and connect to the harness and the other to the square connector for the clip on the leash itself. What we’ve noticed is; it’s harder for them (they haven’t since we started using this) to slip out of the collars because they can’t flip around and worm out of it, I feel more confident that if the equipment fails everyone will be safe, and they are not pulling so hard and walking better. The only comment I have is, the clips are not very large. When these wear down I will be replacing them asap. I feel like 60 lbs. depending on the animals strength is about the limit. We have had several incidents in which they’ve pulled extremely hard and they held up great but I would use your best judgment when purchasing based on your individual animal for safety. I attached a picture of our standard leash clip and the clip of the backup strap (black clip is backup strap, bronze clip is standard leash)

Thank god for this little thing
I adopted a young GSD mix about 6 months ago and began to have issues where she'd pull out of her harness on walks and run away.Since I've been using this, she hasn't be able to do this. It's saved me so much stress, probably saved her life at this point, and also saved my neighbors from having to hear me scream bloody murder regularly.DEFINITELY get if your dog is an escape artist. It stops them entirely or at least gives you more time to get them under control without them getting out of the harness. Just make sure to tighten it and the harness on a regular basis so they can't accidentally slip through.

Extra layer of protection.
I love having that extra layer of protection when walking my dogs. This is a great safety clip for your flat collar while using a martingale or prong for your walks. The added safety this offers is priceless.

nice but not for every type of harness
Good quality but not for every harness --if your harness clips are further down, these safety clips are too short and would require a longer one

65# pit with prong collar cuz he doesn’t like CATS on our walks
My ‘foster fail’ Pittie is all muscle and initially a puller when walking; then to see a cat, I knew I’d be the loser first then the cat. I got a prong collar following you tube videos from American standard dog training. With two corrections he walked so much better with me. I made a homemade dual clasp with some old swing chain and clips. It made a lot of noise and had too much extra so it really sounded and looked like he was some killer pit bull but he’s super friendly to all; again, unless you are a cat.I stumbled across this dual clip and ordered it. It’s way smaller than my homemade one but it’s actually very durable and string. It doesn’t make all the noise mine did and yet still serves the purpose. We encountered a CAT and my dog is doing better with ‘leave it’ but when he wanted to pull back I have the prong then dual clip for back up.I’m very pleased with not in,y the budget friendly price, but the durability and reassurance I have with it so if the prong ever snaps it’s back up by this from his leash to collar. Although I won’t need the prong much longer; vast improvement, it’s great having this clip for now. It’s also adjustable so you can give a lot or little length depending on your preference.
