Update! They refunded me for the missing chains. Thank you!I think the end product is cute but the chains were missing. Also the directions weren’t very clear if you are new to macramé. At one point it said tie a knot but I had no idea what knot to use.

I bought the macrame kit, thinking one of them would be a nice little handmade gift for my new niece. The moon and star were very cute and the instruction videos seemed easy to follow. However, I had to return the items because the chains to hang the small moon and star were missing.

I was looking forward to a fun and relaxing craft project. Now I'm frustrated and upset after wasting several hours of my time.I've been a crafter for many years, and have been doing macrame for most of my life. I've never come across instructions as awful as these. First of all the measurements are in meters, which is misleading and there's no other information about how to measure or how start with the giant tangle of string that comes in the package . It says "cut sizes" on the package and "cute sizes" on the video. Nowhere does it explain what that means. The string starts unraveling as soon as you cut it.The only "instructions" are a video on YouTube with no audio, for you to follow along. At the beginning of the video there are a few words at the bottom but you soon realize that they're not actually helpful. There are no written instructions and no pointers or tips. The person demonstrating has their hands in front of the camera half the time so you can't see what you're supposed to do. At one point the words at the bottom of the video say "according to the video its really complicated." It's beyond frustrating to have to watch the video at .25 speed over and over and over just to try to figure out what to do. What a waste of time and energy.UPDATE: The seller read my review and offered to either give me a refund or send me a kit with detailed instructions. I stupidly assumed the kit with detailed instructions would be the same as the one I ordered and I said I'd like that. Once it arrived I realize did was a completely different kit that did indeed have better instructions but still not great. Its a nice kit but wasn't what I thought I was getting. Now the seller won't leave me alone, they send me a message, sometimes several messages, every day asking me to review the new kit.Well, here it is, this has been a sucky experience. I should have found a pattern and bought the supplies. It would have been a lot less frustrating.

*****UPDATED 10/18/22***** THE COMPANY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND HANDLED MY COMPLAINTS PROFESSIONALLY. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE TRANSACTION I HAVE HAD IN YEARS!!!!!The size graph they provide on the instructions is inaccurate. I directs you to cut string into "m" and not "cm or inches" attempted to convert the measurements on my own and was unable to. The video incorrectly states to "cute size" instead of cut. This was an absolute frustration amd waste of my time.

The directions are easy to follow. I am in the process of making one for my granddaughter

The instructions are very confusing, especially the measurements for the string. Doesn’t seem to be correct. And I really don’t like that the string comes all tangled up and not wrapped nicely.

Very disappointed I was very excited about getting this kit but was very disappointed when I realized the directions are so hard to follow The video goes by so fast you can't follow along 2nd of all the measurements are all in meters and there's nowhere That clearly States exactly what and how many you are supposed to cut I just wish the directions and the videos were more clear I don't feel that this is a good kit for beginners maybe I'll find another brand
