Very reliable charger accomodatiny many types of batteries. Safe when unattented.
This review after winter and continous use for 5 months on four batteries. This charger even with small current 1Amp is very reliabl. It really charges car, motorcycle and UPS type batteries with ni problem and then maintains them. So after few days if your battery is not damaged you will see oltage over 13 volts on charged battery. It performs far better than many chargers with switchable voltages and charging powers or rebuilding funcion. Those have usual problem recognizing stateof battery and you would need to cheat them with good battery connected in parallel to start functionioning and charging. This chareger has no issues like that. Connect and stay patient. Give it some time and you will be surprized. I have forgotten about charging while I travelled overseas for two weeks. I came back and checked battery and charger. It was smart in mainener mode and safe and battery was like new from manufacturer. Great design. I have spent few years looking for charger like this trying other charger with not much success.

Trickle harger
Works great, I have bought 3 of these

Its worth it.
I wish the wires were a little thicker for charging but it still does what its supposed to do.

Solid battery trickle charger that I’ll be adding to my portable setup
I have another trickle charger but it had a big adapter. I love that this one is a regular small receptacle and it’s nice that it has extra accessories.A solid way to keep your motorcycle battery charged when you’re not using it daily.

The media could not be loaded. Somewhere, someone actually wanted to build a very good battery charger AND maintainer, and they actually did it.First: this is not a "jump start" high current charger.Second: if your battery needs a miracle, take it to church, because this wont fix it.Third: This is the best battery charger I have ever seen, especially for the price.I rarely write reviews. I am also equally rarely impressed with low cost made-in-China consumer goods. When I got this charger, I did not expect to be impressed. For fun I put a voltmeter and a current meter on it expecting to be unimpressed and to hate on it... To my shock and amazement, a pleasant surprise. They got this charger EXACTLY right.in short: In the video's above you can see the charger applying constant current of ~900mA then backing off and measuring voltage, all the way up to 14.5 volts-offo-the-charger, and then switching to 33mA of constant current. (note that if this were used in a car with large capacitors attached to the battery it may go in to the trickle charge mode a bit early, but this is not likely with most farm / atv / classic cars, and would certainly be avoided by pulling the battery terminal when you charge it)A few days ago, after throwing away my 3rd Harbor-Freight "trickle charger", (They last about 1 year then then seem to die, and their internals are is nothing more than a poorly regulated 14.5 volt constant voltage source with very little current) I started asking myself, "why don't you just go ahead and build your own charger... If i had the time, THIS charger would have been what I would have spent hundreds of hours perfecting. This charger is a smart charger that is actually smart. When you attach it to the battery, it measures the voltage on the battery, and if it is below 14.5 volts, this charger then applies about 0.9 Amps ( constant current mode, NOT dependent on battery voltage) for 10 seconds, then dis-connects the charge for 1 second, re-measures the battery voltage, and if it's disconnect-voltage is under 14.5 volts, it starts this cycle over and over again. This is an excellent way of truly top-off charging the battery, (1 Amp is not too shabby if you have more than a few hours). Once the 14.5 volt threshold has been crossed, the charger then goes in to a mode where it switches to constant-current of 35 Mili Amps, and stays in the 35MA mode until the next time that the charger is dis-connected from the battery.I know this is a bit technical for most non-battery nerds, but suffice to say, if you have a car / tractor / ATV that sits a lot more than you use it, this is the charger you want for it. It -WILL- charge a discharged battery fairly quickly (5-20 hours depending on battery size and how dead it is). It charges at a rate of 1-am-hour, so take your battery size and do the math.. It will not kill your battery with over voltage, and it will not kill your battery by completely disconnecting the charge from it, leaving it to slowly die offline. If I were to build a charger, this is what I would have come up with.Update:Left it charging over night, It is still testing the battery ever 10 seconds, and keeping 35mA going in to it. I also unplugged the charger, and measured to see if the charger itself would present a parasitic load on to the battery, which (in the case of the Harbor Freight charger) will kill the battery in the case of a long-term power outage. GOOD NEWS: this charger has ZERO parasitic load if the main power fails, so it will not kill a good battery in the case of long-term power outages. Again, this is an excellent charger.

It is trickle chargrer.... remember
Charged my JD lawn tractor battery from total dead to enough to start in 5+ hours. It is a trickle charger, dude.I have since disconnected the tractor "headlights". And will use this charger in the dead to winter/next spring. Thank you for a great product at a terrific price. Cheers.

Hasty Old Man Says, It Might Work Afterall. :) UPD 01-16-254
I bought this charger to use as a trickle charge for my old pickup. I've had a parasitic draw which kept bringing my battery down if I did not start and run the vehicle every few days, it would go dead. Of course after I ordered the charger, I finally found the cause. (it is the instrument cluster for you fellow GMC owners). I took out the fuse so save the battery until I can get the cluster rebuilt. Put this charger on it and nothing. The green light came on, but no status indicator for charging, etc. Well, being a little hasty, I of course blamed the product and ordered a replacement. Then thought, perhaps the battery, although new, had gotten down low enough so that this small trickle charger would not bring it up. I jump started the truck and let it run for 15 minutes or so, then, for grins, I tried the charger again. Low and behold the charging indicator light came on this time, along with the green power light, so perhaps that was the problem, vs. a defective unit. I will update after a day or two should everything work as planned and the battery come up to a full charge. I suspect that it will. For the time being, I only gave four stars until the mystery is solved. I could have waited, but wanted others to not make my same mistake. The battery probably can not be too low to accept the charge of this unit. It is meant to provide a small trickle charge and not operate like a normal larger charging unit. Someone who knows more about automotive electronics can probably explain better, but hopefully this helps some one. I guess I"ll probably keep the replacement unit and use it on my little pop-up camper. I need one for that anyway. Next time, I'll try and not be quite so hasty. :)UPDATE 01-16-24Confirmed that the battery was just too low to take a charge or to have the charger indicate that it was charging, either one or the other. After running the truck for a few minutes, the charger indicated that it was providing a charge and after a couple days, the indicator is showing a full charge. My apologies for the initial hasty response. I have let the seller know that they can charge me for the replacement and I'll use it on my pop-up camper battery. I've needed one for that for a while anyway. So in summary, the charger works as it should and I need not be so hasty. LOLHave a great day everyone.
