If the Bible were a museum, this would be the guided tour.
Indiana Jones, in the movie ‘The Last Crusade,’ encounters a point in his journey where the path becomes obscured and his way uncertain. He encounters the bridge of faith, invisible to the untrained eye. Yet, using knowledge and insight, guided by faith in wisdom, he successfully crosses a chasm where eyesight alone proves insufficient. Even so is St. Johns last book in the Bible; the words alone are insufficient without a deeper understanding. For many, Christian or not, trying to fathom the Apocalypse poses a challenge, as it is such a cryptic representation of a vision which is often, largely ‘invisible’ to most. Those passages, however fascinating, are more of a chasm than a bridge. And yet, even as did Dr. Jones in his quest for the Holy Grail finds a way across, without ignoring anything in the texts, Dr. Marshall uses his considerable acumen and logic to reveal a “bridge”, hidden from view for most readers, of that obscure Scripture which, nonetheless, fascinates so many over the centuries.Bristling with supportive footnotes and bibliography, which alone could provide a long summer’s reading list, this richly detailed exposition provides as much of a wealth of knowledge as it does, understanding. And for fans of linguistics and etymology, there is rich reward throughout: the benefit of Dr. Taylor Marshall’s wide mastery in the tongues of the Bible as written, both the Greek and Hebrew, enriched yet again with a mastery of Latin. And so, delving into the great history of the Jews and the Land gifted from God, we find in these pages, not a greater mystery, but a clearer understanding of what is essential as a closing chapter in the greatest (if reprintings are any indication of ‘greatness’) Book ever written: The Bible. A book, which overflows with messages and warnings, admonitions and loving praise, the Bible is sometimes misunderstood for its meaning and purpose. Even as pearls of great beauty can become a nuisance when strewn underfoot, artfully strung they can become a thing of beauty, enhancing the one fortunate to wear it. So too, Dr. Marshall gathers the beauties - the pearls- that fill the sacred Scriptures, though confusing to so many, and masterfully ‘strings’ them together into a cohesive, intelligible, and beautiful exposé of the vision of the end of time, given St John in his last years. In my opinion, this book should be a required compendium for anyone, who is intent on the fullest understanding of the Bible, lending a clarity which fills the reader with many “ah-HA!” moments, even reaching back in time, as the path through obscurity becomes plain, understandable, and mostly, enriching the reader with a hope and joy which is clearly Dr. Marshalls heart, and intent.Even if you are not driven by a spiritual calling to understand scripture, the enlightenment found between these covers is as rewarding as it is entertaining for those ‘entertained’ through the acquisition of knowledge from a renowned scholar, and educator for untold numbers of people, worldwide. After reading this book, I will never see biblical passages in quite the same way.

provided the back ground I needed
I didn't know alot about the church hierarchy or history but I do know what I sense- that the upper echelons of the church seem to be doing their own thing, going their own way regardless of how many people leave the church, regardless of how many kids lose their faith. The allow Biden & pelosi to be the face of US Catholicism and seem to have no problem with it) They do not stand up against anything the culture wars throw at them. They excommunicate certain kinds of priests who seem to working for the good while promoting certain kinds of priests who look like the worst (McCarrick) the culture wars have to offer. The book answered a lot of my questions and filled in a LOT of knowlege. It ended with hope which I did not expect. I read some severely critical reviews and they made little or no sense to me. They seemed to be out right apologists for the existing hierarchy and direction of the liturgy. I would highly recommend the book for its history of the church- particularly last 200 years.

A Destined Classic for Our Apocalyptic Times
Bold and daring, honest and true, Taylor Marshall lays out the prophecies about the AntiChrist, his origins, the conditions to his arrival and telltale signs, duration of his reign and his ultimate defeat. Interweaving his adept Thomistic scholarship, Taylor keenly analyzes and comments upon the Old Testament and New Testament. Utilizing the writings from the Doctors of the Church, mystics, and prophets and other sources, Taylor enlightens and forewarns our generation and other generations to come about the current, imminent battle. I estimate that only a few Catholics have heard of some these prophets and mystics, and all odds are that most Christians and non-Christians have not heard these prophecies at all. Which is why, I believe this book is a gift to mankind as a clarion call to be prepared for what is to come, if not in our generation but the generations to follow. It is destined to be a classic like "End of the Present World and The Mysteries of the Future Life" by Fr. Charles Arminjon which deeply influenced the life of a future saint and Doctor of the Church, St. Therese of Lisieux. Some of the best takes from the book are summarized in the charts, diagrams and five appendices. The layout in the book makes it easier to comprehend and to visualize an otherwise very difficult subject matter. There are so many incredible Eureka moments that illuminated my understanding because of such summaries (The AntiChrist Summarized, 7 Churches as Old Testament History, Old Testament epochs, Great Tribulation, Ezechiel's Vision and John's Apocalypse, etc). The appendices itself are worth buying the book. Just read three tantalizing titles which peaked my curiosity: Appendix 1: Timeline of Future Events, (Who wouldn't want to know that!); Appendix 2: The Minor Chastisement, (Chastisement? What is that and who will be chastised?); Appendix 3: Death of the AntiChrist in Tradition.Among the many incredible chapters in the book, in my opinion, the best section of the book is the Epilogue: Choose between Christ and Antichrist. Why? (It's not because it is the end of the book!) It is because it is here that Taylor audaciously and courageously proclaims his innermost convictions with imperatives that led to his own conversion and to be the hero he is to me and countless others. Reading this alone would make a person who truly loves Jesus Christ, Our Lord desire to see Jesus the Groom and His Bride the Church be victorious over Satan and his minions so that the Our Father Prayer will be accomplished: "Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven." Amen!

Antichrist and Apocalypse: The 21 Prophecies of Revelation Unveiled and Described
The book Antichrist and Apocalypse: The 21 Prophecies of Revelation Unveiled and Described, by Dr. Taylor Marshall, is a great work. The book clearly shows us the correct interpretation of the Book of Revelation and makes us aware of the need to be seriously concerned about our salvation. I had never read the Book of Revelation and it's great to have that safe guide now. Thank you, Dr. Taylor Marshall.

This book is the easiest Biblical Apocalypse explanation for everyone.
The book ANTICHRIST AND APOCALYPSE is the book version of one of the courses in NSTI (New Saint Thomas Institute) which I found to be laid out in more detail in the book. This book provides the interconnection of both the old and new testament. It cannot be compared to other books that cover typologies and prophecies. The topics in this book go straight directly to the passages without the need for deeper exegesis. I believe this is the type of exegesis for lay people if there is such a thing. 😉It weaves through different parts of the Bible that point to John’s vision of the Apocalypse which results in a beautiful quilt that is colorful, informative, symbolic, and at the same time relays the message very clearly without being complicated. My favorite Chapter of the Book is THE ANTICHRIST AND HIS FALSE PROPHET (Apocalypse 13).This discusses the infamous 666. Who is it? What does it mean? And how do we know that is the Antichrist? The information laid out in the chapter is a mouthful but easy to digest.I’ve been critical before about 666 on learning how to explain it to others, but now I am more confident to explain it at the level of conversation and not the apologist type of sharing.Overall, it is an excellent book for those who just want to understand John’s vision while leaving some room to personally reflect, ponder, and a little bit more analysis which will entice you to read the rest of the Bible.

Very useful and well written book
Thank you so much Dr. Marshall for your most interesting and enlightening book on a difficult topic like the book of Revelation. I learnt much from the perspective of the Catholic faith. To the embittered Protestants who did not even purchase Dr. Marshall's book, let alone read it, but left derogatory comments : I understand your strong dislike of the author's book. Ever since the former Augustinian Catholic monk and priest Martin Luder, aka Luther, started protesting against the One, Holy, Catholic (= universal), Apostolic, and subsequently, historical Church, his fellow radical protesters continue to rebel against the Church our Lord Jesus-Christ officially established the day of Pentecost, seven weeks after His blessed resurrection. The Protestant faith was established in the first half of the 16th century (as from roughly 1517). I would like to remind you the historical, universal Christian Church was established around AD30, in Jerusalem, Judea, not around AD1517 in Germany. That's just a historical fact and a spiritual reality. You may want to continue to stick your heads in the sand and keep protesting, but there's one truth you won't be able to escape : outside His official, historical Church, there is no salvation ! And that Church, dear Protestants, is the historical Western Latin Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church. Do your homework. Cdl John Henry Newman (a former Protestant) said : "To be deep in history, is to cease to be a Protestant". That is so true. Can your Protestant faith resist and survive the crash test of history ? Protestantism, as a church and a faith, to be genuinely Christian, must be able to show an uninterrupted continuity since the day of Pentecost around AD30 until today, according to Christ's formal promise (Gospel of Saint Matthew 16,18b). If it can't, then it is not the original, historical, One, Holy, Universal and Apostolic Church. Amen.
