Lucozade Sport, 1l Gripper Water Bottle

I bought this fine bottle just over a year ago this week and I admit, I only had expectations of it lasting six months at best with my busy lifestyle where it is crammed into a backpack day in, day out, often manhandled due to my lack of care for such a seemingly insignificant carrier of liquid.Well let me tell you...This is the finest water bottle I have ever purchased and ever will purchase! The striking blue and yellow hue of the glossy, smooth plastic, still as vibrant and eye catching as the day I pulled it out from the suffocating cardboard and bubble wrap it was encased in for so long ( Like Han Solo, frozen in Carbonite. Alive.Yet not alive). The ergonomic grip fits exquisitely to my hand, like a glove crafted by the gods for my hand alone. As I trace my fingers across the emblazoned logo of the LUCOZADE brand, so sharp yet so reassuring, I see it has not yet faded after all this time - A sign of reliability, my friend.I had doubts, like many of you, of whether the water tight seal would last. Would I, one fine day, open my bag to find a murky swamp of books and files, ruining my day and causing endless hours of holding a hair dryer, fanning the sodden remains of vital work, giving looks of death to a bottle I thought I knew so well. This thought plagued my mind like vultures festering on the decomposing remains of some poor gazelle, mamed by a previous attack and left to wander injured and alone across the savanna until one day, it collapses and allows darkness to shroud it's mind until it breathes no more.There may be a day when that happens.... but it is not this day ! The seal is still tight as tupperware, nothing escapes this bottle! not even the most rebellious water drops. The teat, while stiff at first, eases after frequent use yet still refrains from letting water escapeThis bottle has been with me on many excursions, and I may not have survived them if it were not for little blue and yellow companion, it hides in my bag, yet hydrates me when and where I need it.It watches over me like a guardian, a silent knight, a blue and yellow knight.

Pretty much the gold standard sports bottle really and biggest bonus of all - it's not a fake! At least, the ones I bought directly from Amazon are the real deal.A few things stand out with these compared to others I've seen.1) The thread is perfectly tight, doesn't move around and tightens up comfortably with no play.2) The spout is firm and requires a pull to raise it, it's not loose and doesn't fall down when drinking3) There is no smell or taste from the plastic.4) The plastic has just the right amount of give for a decent squeeze.5) IT DOESN'T LEAK!I'm totally happy with these and they look like they'll last a long time with a lot of abuse. I've already dropped, thrown and crushed it and it looks new - can't ask for much more than that.**UPDATE**So, it's just under a year and a half since I bought this bottle and I've just ordered the replacement. I think that's pretty good really, especially as I have smashed it about everywhere and shoved it through the dishwasher getting on for a 50 time or more.This week, it sprung a leak in the side and it's been a bit leaky on the lid for a couple weeks (when squeezed).It's really been abused, thrown about, squashed and used every single day. The kids have jumped on it, dropped it out a window, shoved it down slides and all sorts. These are tough and well made bottles for sure!

Great product, have bought several of these over the years as they hold 1 litre and rarely leak (until they get old and worn out) unlike many others. Ideal for days out, keeping in the car/van door when working, taking to gym, field or on bike rides. I'd give it 5 stars if they had more choice of colour and design but the price is very good too.

You get a nice big (1 litre) bottle. Its a malleable plastic which is a plus as it is squeezable and adds durability.The top screws on nicely and the sucking mechanism has the ideal amount of resistance. You also get a volume reading on the side, which helps keep track of how much you drink.When I first used it, there was a taste of plastic which wasn't too pleasant so make sure you give it a very good hot water wash.

It's had over 6 months of daily use and this bottle still looks and works as well as the day I received it. Seriously one of the best if not the best sports water bottle I've owned!It's typically stuffed in a sports bag 4-5 times a week, thrown around the side of sports pitches and opened and closed at least once a day and it's still it's going strong. No leaks yet, though I can't imagine that it ever will.There's a thin see-through strip that runs the length of the bottle through which you can see the fluid level. There are 250ml markings running up the side which clearly show you the amount left.

I have just received my bottle - seems good quality. Although, it has brown dirt all over it.. See picture attached

Not much to say about this other than it does the job, have had no leaks so far but havnt had it long. It does however seem well made and dont expect there to be any issues even with the lid which also seems solid. A screw/twist top would be better than a press down top but overall good purchase for the money.
