Ok, so what we have is the St Michael pendant with Abalone background. It’s quite small but quite a nice piece overall.Its detail is quite intricate and initially I thought the Abalone background might be a bit overbearing but it’s quite subtle and compliments the pendant well.The chain in picture 1 is one I purchased separately which is a 22” oval belcher (2.8mm wide) as the pendant is for a male. The chain in picture 3 is the chain which it is supplied with. It’s extremely thin and one of those annoying chains which takes you half a decade to get a knot out…. It’s in my jewellery box, knotting as we speak.The box…. Yep I replaced the box too with the box the chain came in, which was more suitable in size and a lot classier. The box it came with was ok, but the chain box was a lot nicer.Can’t really comment on weight as a large proportion of the pendant is Alabone, but definitely not £40 worth of silver.In conclusion - rather a nice piece once put on a more appropriate chain. In total to get it looking presentable enough to gift to a male a heavier chain is definitely required so be cautious to factor in that additional cost.Is it worth £40? No…. No more than £32 maximum.Would I buy again? Absolutely if the price was around the £30 mark. I would give it just under 4 stars as the price lets the item down.

In the description it says 925 sliver but the chain has turned green. Is this fake sliver

The medal for my husband was a perfect size and beautiful with the silver and abalone. The locket I got was beautiful, but sadly so small that you could only put a picture in less than the size of a dime. I think the locket should definitely be as big as the medal I got my husband. A locket shouldn't be that small, especially when it cost more than the medal for my husband. If you can make a larger locket it will be wonderful!
