I needed to pass some self plugged leads through a deep work surface. these were a very neat answer to finishing off. The only word of warning to anyone using them is to manoeuvre the plugs through the grommets before you push the grommets into place as the clearance is so small that you have to tilt and tip the plug in order to pass through and this is not possible if you have it in situ if there is any depth to the surface - shame as 1mm extra diameter would have made this much easier.

A desk grommet isn't something you'd normally get too excited about, however I had a unique use for them that meant I was looking for a stylish and high quality product.Instead of fitting them to a desk I have a kitchen breakfast bar that sits over an existing power socket, and this gave me a way of core drilling the worktop to allow me to use the socket and finish the opening off nicely. There's a good weight and the finish is very good. The brushes around the opening add the finishing touch to close off the opening. Very nice product.
