Well its a 13 amp socket
I was suspicious at first because it seemed too cheap. However, what turned up looked the business and it has now been installed in our kitchen to replace a previous socket that had no switch. I noticed that some reviewers were complaining about the quality of the screws and I had mistakenly thought this referred to the screws holding it to the wall. But I also experienced minor issues and it was the screws that pin the ring main wire that were iffy. Each is extremely stiff and require some force to move, so much in fact that I had concerns about the plastic breaking that they were going into . The quality of the screws was also a bit poor and unless you are very careful, the metal head starts to disintegrate making it difficult to get force with the screwdriver. However, you only have to do this once and like the other reviewers I got there in the end and the socket works fine. Despite this small issue it remains extremely good value for money.

Replacement electric wall socket point. With power on/off switch.
Unit looks OK. But despite the promise of it coming out complete with a helpful instruction leaflet it in fact does not. Therefore I've got to check some books before fitting the unit. But confident it shouldn't be too difficult a tasking overall.
