Q: Can u use these on short bobbed hair

Depends how thick your hair is, the rollers are different sizes but not many of each size!

No I don't think they would work,The clips are very hard to use on rollers,The rollers are to big for fine hair, I am a professional hair dresser, and have used heated rollers for fifty years, but I find these rollers very difficult to use,They are Very hard to put in,

Q: Do the rollers get very hot? I know it would sound so stupid but I'm scared of burning my ear (which I do sometimes using curler/hair dryer).

The rollers do get fairly hot, but not hot enough to burn at all! If you are worried about that, just make sure you clip them away from your ears! But literally I've never found them too hot... Definatley not hot enough to burn!! Hope this helps
