Q: When sim racing with a wheel on ps4 i don't want to connect via controller since it times out when not in u. can i connect via usb through a usb hub?

The USB Sound Card supplied with the HyperX Cloud II is compatible with the PS4. This may require a firmware update, available via our website, in the Support / Headsets / Cloud II section, if the PS4 doesn't detect it.

Just to make sure, you have plugged your headphones into the sound card first (it's the part with the 7.1 switch and mute button) then unto usb. If not and you've plugged them directly into the 3.5mm jack in your computers sound card then it may not work with gaming. Just a thought and I may be wrong.

Unplug the 3.5mm headphone jack from the usb sound controller dongle and plug into the 3.5mm port on your phone. This is what I did with mine and it worked great. If you were asking for a more detailed answer in terms of software compatibility or phone compatibility I'm sorry but if you can be more specific with your question it would be easier to answer.

Q: How good is the surround sound? Some people say its great, others say rubbish.

PS4 Perspective I find them really good when on standard stereo for gaming, really helps for hearing footsteps, but the 7.1 vss option is rubbish for gaming. I would recommend the headset
