Q: Do these make you better at fortnite?

Q: Are these good for gaming ?

These are GREAT headphones for gaming HOWEVER they are 250ohms (most gaming headsets are 32ohms) which means they are harder to drive and depending on your soundcard may not go as loud as you like if you are gaming on a computer i would also look at getting an external usb amplifier. i paired mine with an oppo ha2-se usb portable headphone amplifier which has since been discontinued but if you shop around you can find alternative headphone amplifiers like the FiiO A3 which has a good rating on amazon plus it has a battery so you can connect it to yuor phone/audio player and use it when out of the house.

Q: With the dt990 pro can you add a mic to them because looking at the photos i can’t understand where you would put the mic

You can use something like a modmic. A separate mic that you add to the headphones. The cable on the DT990 is not detachable, so microphones like that for the Custom One or the V-Moda Boompro are no-go. Just look up Antlion Modmic, I'm almost certain that's your best bet, but anything like that will do.

Q: Does it work with Xbox

Yes, it has the right connection for (latest) Xbox controller, .... BUT You may need a headphone amp, depending on ohms of headphone. (As it may sound quieter) Hope this helps
