I have really thick hair and it is quite heave. Most pins will not hold my hair up unless I use lots of them. These are great. I use 2-4 of them depending on the style I am wearing and how important it is to me that it stays in place. They're easy to tighten when you feel your style is getting loose - just give them a little twist. They don't tear your hair with sharp edges and they do disappear into your hair style. Whoever came up with these is a genius.

These pins are really effective at keeping your hair up. The colour comes off the pins very easily, but this was not a problem for me as my hair is going grey anyway, so the silver base metal blends in.

They came shorter than previous versions I have bought, the picture shows one I already had on the top compared to these. Also the colour has rubbed off within weeks of use. I use these regularly for work so I expect they will not last as long as I was I have bought previously from other places.I have waist length hair and use these for a variety of style to pin my hair up, 3 or 4 will hold a loose bun or more complicated styles. Occasionally they do tangle when twisting them out but they don't snag generally.

Best value for money and durability ever. Bought my pack of 10 spiral pins in 2016. I’m still using them in 2021. Colour is a little lighter than I would have liked. My hair is dark brown and these pins are more milk chocolate in colour. My hair is really long, I used these pins to secure my hair at night as well as when I’m working out. Never had a pin come loose and no sign of paint flaking. Probably the most used hair pins I’ve ever own.

I first bought two of these for £5 from a supermarket as I thought they looked interesting. After using them for a day or so, I was almost evangelical in my praise of them and have given up on standard hair grips completely. I have long thick hair which I do wear in lots of different ways - messy bun, chignon, half-chignon, various up-dos etc etc. These little spiral screws make all of these styles so much easier and quicker to achieve - not to mention really secure. They are super-easy to use - for example, for a messy bun, simply twist your hair into roughly the shape you'd like it to be when your hand is removed and screw a couple of these babies into that style. Then take your hand away and, Hey Presto! - your hair stays there. There's no tugging, pulling or catching, just twist them in, then reverse the process to take them out. And they're completely invisible once in the style. I promise, you'll never go anywhere without a couple in your handbag again and to find 10 for less than the price I paid for two is an absolute thrill!

Ordered the same pins for the 3rd time, this new set however seems a lot shorter!Shrinkflation?
