Chemical Guys (CLD_201_16 Signature Series Orange Degreaser - 16 oz.

I’m a mechanic and apart from learning the tips and tricks to clean a car it always help to have the right product that will get the job done and with the best of results. I’ll give people this one tip for free because I saw a few people talking about alloy wheel carbon build up of the breaks when in fact 95% of the black carbon comes from the brake rotors (disks) and as it meets the aluminium alloy wheels it’s immediately attacks the aluminium with galvanic corrosion causing pitting and so on. Because it’s just mostly carbon a metal deposits a little tip is to use some diluted hydrochloric acid which immediately stops the galvanic corrosion and the carbon just washes away and yes the acid will not damage the wheel as long as you don’t leave it on there for 5 Minuets or more. (I just buy a 5 lt bottle of brick acid and it lasts ages but make sure it’s hydrochloric and not any other)This degreaser is the best I’ve used and I’ve tried all of them all and if it’s used with out dilution it will easily degrease anything including your hands so be carful because it will pull the oils out of your skin and will cause your skin to peel as that slipperiness you feel when you get it in your hands is the oils being pulled out of your skin so don’t degrease your self. There is another that can work great on very heavy grease and that’s paraffin but your only replacing a heaver oil with a lighter oil due to paraffin (kerosene to our American cousins) being lighter in viscosity it will only displace the heavy oil or grease with lighter paraffin and so defeats the objective in degreasing and cleaning and gunk is the big brand name that uses paraffin as its degreaser so reflecting on my opinion I stand by what I said in saying that this chemical guys degreaser is the best money can buy. (You don’t have to dilute it 6:1 you can dilute it to any ratio but no more than 6:1 or not at all which is my preference) ; )

This appears expensive (and I think £8.99 would be a more reasonable price) but the important thing to note is it goes a long way. YOU MUST dilute this (minimum 6 parts water to 1 part degreaser) before use. Failure to do so can result in etching into surfaces ruining them.I used this product because I take my old 2006 Volvo to an automatic brushed car wash once a week. Over many months the rinse-aid agent used at the car wash had deposited a film over the car which was invisible apart from when it rained on the windscreen and wipers were used. Then hundreds of spots would appear and cause poor wet weather vision. This product, used with a super fine Steel Wool has removed these deposits and returned the screen to a crystal clear finish. While the car is old, the screen is less than a year old following replacement - so if you do use automatic brushed car washes, and opt for the higher specification clean which mixes rinse aid agents and ‘polishers’ to the water you too will benefit from using this to fully degrease and clean your windscreen.I also used the product in the engine bay to great effect, it also does wonders for removing greasy deposits from ovens and air fryers.

Item was great however prime not so pay for next day delivery (prime) once again item takes days always delayed ill be leaving amazon prime and sticking to royal mail its quicker and free.

Used it for cleaning bicycles chains. Got it perfectly clean, definitely recommend

If these guys were around 1 or 2 hundred years ago, they'd have been burnt as witches and warlocks. I've got this and one other of their products, and they're phenomenally good at doing what they do - some may even call it magical. Ronseal should buy them - it does exactly what it says on the bottle.

Great value for money, degreased engine that hasn't been cleaned for over 10years +. There is still plenty of product left in bottle. Will definitely be buying this product again when this bottle runs out !!

Average degreaser, not worth the money as you can buy alternatives for quarter the price.

Worked really well on alloys.Massive difference after applying the spray and then scrubing with a brush. Now the alloys are mich nicer and shiny. Thanks 😊
