No it is not noisy....sounds like a cd player on initial load up of film.....mine runs silent after initial load up of film.......hope that helps..

Q: Can i plug this in to play dvds onto my tv?

some of our DVD's are older including Disney ones will it play these.?

Don't take this the wrong way but was your socket switched on ! Because I have done this myself, I have mine to the mains mostly and don't relie on the battery, but mine dose charge. If it was me in this situation, I'd email Amazon and the seller to try and get a replacement. Good luck.
