YogaMatters have been in business for some years and this is one of the best yoga mats available anywhere. It performs exactly as is needed to keep you stable and comfortable in poses. Their mats are thick and long-lasting though slightly heavy to carry around, but comfort and safety are my priorities.

These mats are very slippery when brand new. The best thing is to wipe them down with a cloth using hot, soapy water, then leave to air dry. This will improve the grip 95%. The mat will then improve further with use. They need to be worn in, like new towels. Yogamatters.co.uk have a blog post on this subject.

Great mat for a beginner like myself. Gives adequate protection against the hard wooden floor where my class takes place. Sweat can make it a touch slippy but what wouldn't. It does get better with time and can be washed There are thicker,wider and longer mats but this does the job. Think how many people use the class/gym own mats. Do you want your face against someone else sweat/ germs? A proper yoga mat at a decent price

Good size & colour, easy to roll up & carry (bought strap separately).Chose this brand following a Good Housekeeping recommendation.Provides a well-cushioned surface for yoga/Pilates practice & I have found it to be non-slip unless palms get very sweaty on exertion. A good buy for the price.

Having used this mat daily for about 1 month now, I am not experiencing the lack of grip that other reviewers mentioned. To the contrary, I find the mat very grippy, and material provides, for me, an optimal balance of firmness and softness. The mat is also nice and wide. In general, I find this mat to make my practice much more enjoyable and responsive. I do not have experience with more expensive mats that advanced practitioners may use, but for the price I suspect this may be one of the better values out there.

The mat looks & feels good quality but as a beginner it’s not as sticky as the marketing would have you believe. I borrowed a Yoga Matters mat from a friend and theirs is vastly more sticky. This mat is marketed as a beginners mat but in my experience it is slightly disappointing.
