WMLBK Replacement 12888 Quartz Battery Wall Clock Movement Silent Mechanism Motor Tool Replace Points, DIY Wall Clock Part Repair Kit (18mm)

This was as described but sadly the stub for putting the hands on was too big so now I have to buy new hands. It looked the same on the website but I did read later it is best to buy a pack of new clock hands.

As stated

The hands from the old unit wouldn't fit on the stub of the new one. I tried dismantling and changing the final cog (which includes the stub) but other parts weren't exactly the same size. In the end I was able to take the coil/circuit board from the new unit and use all the cogs from the old unit and that worked fine. It's fiddly to do but worth trying.

What i liked was the excellent delivery service it's not a dislike but you could give more detail of the product as I am trying to repair my late wife's wall clock but the end of the fitting is circular mine has two straight sides on the hands so I'll be ordering a unit with hands

This was not an exact replacement for the old one despite the numbers being the same.I assumed that because it was quoted as a replacement for my old unit that the old hands would fit. Not so. The old hands were too narrow to fit over the shaft/spindle. Consequently I had to file the holes until they fitted. I give this unit 5 stars as there is nothing else wrong with it. It fitted snuggly and worked perfectly. I look upon the issues above as my own fault and add to my learning.

This is a direct replacement mechanism for standard clocks. I would have given it 5 stars if it had been silent as advertised. It is much quieter than the noisy one I was replacing, so it does what I wanted, but it is certainly not silent. It arrived with insufficient protection as can be seen from the attached image which shows that the shaft had pierced the packaging. Other than those two points, I can recommend this product.

Nothing wrong with this but Didn’t fit my clock (my error). Refund received very quickly.

I ordered this clock movement ,it is the same part number as the old one I was replacing .But , the shafts that the pointers attach to ,are slightly larger diameter. So I had to sand them down with an emery board ,to make them fit . It kept time for the first day .On the second day it lost 6 hours over night . I reset the time and it has been working a bit better , though still losing a few minutes a day .There is no regulator .
