Me and my girlfriend both take regular high-ish doses of vitamin D3 after reading extensive, proven medical research which clearly showed the health benefits this vitally important vitamin gives. One such health benefit is how vital vitamin D is for a healthy, strong immune system. It's well worth educating yourself with all the research, as it clearly shows all the health benefits this vital vitamin gives! The research we read mentions that higher doses of vitamin D3 give further health benefits, but when taking higher doses of vitamin D3, it is recommended to take vitamin K2 as well, as this pulls the calcium from out of the blood, and into the bones where its best needed. Also, magnesium is needed by the kidneys and liver to convert (for want of a better word) the ingredient in the capsule (cholecalciferol) into the chemical that the kidneys then ultimately send around the body where the body, cells etc gets the health benefits from it. So for example if you do not have enough magnesium in your body, the vitamin D3 will remain inactive. So it's worthwhile to take a magnesium supplement if your diet lacks a decent amount of magnesium. We purchased the 720 sized bottle as both myself and girlfriend are sharing the bottle, so the price was very reasonable for the amount of tablets. I would however have liked to have seen a bit longer use by date as the ones we purchased in August 2023, they have a use by date of May 2024. Other capsules we have purchased have had 2 years or very close to 2 years use by date. So I think the manufacturer needs to address the short use by date issue! Although I am not recommending others to take the same dose as us, we typically take two of these tablets each per day from September till the end of April. And from May till the beginning of September we take one of these tablets each per day. We live in Northern England so we don't get as much sun exposure as the Southern part of the Country. Typically we get most of our vitamin D from having our skin exposed to the sun, and this only happens at certain times of the year when the sun is high enough in the skyline, and also strong enough to provide vitamin D from its exposure. The reason we tend to pick up less respiratory viruses, bugs etc up during the summer months is, our vitamin D levels tend to be higher during this period, so our immune system tends to be more robust and works better (as mentioned earlier vitamin D plays a vital role in boosting our immune system). But as the Autumn and Winter periods come round, our vitamin D levels then start to drop, this in turn lowers how well our immune system works, which then makes us more likely to pick up more respiratory viruses, bugs etc, hence the reason we get more or these during the colder months. We have been taking vitamin D3 for a couple of years now, and we both have never felt better. We rarely get a cold, and on the couple of occasions I got covid 19, it was hardly more than I would say was a mild cold and I got rid of it very quickly. And I put this down to taking vitamin D3 in some dose or other throughout the year and in turn has made the immune system work at its peak performance. We would definitely purchase these vitamin D3 capsules again as they are a really strong dose, they last a long time (especially if you are sharing them with someone in your household) and they are very affordable. But bear in mind that the bottle we got only had a 9 month use by date, so it might be worth contacting the seller and asking them what the current use by date would be!

Taken on medical advice due to the importance of Vitamin D to the body and how easy it is to become deficient due to the lack of UK sunshine. The dose is a tiny capsule taken once every 5 days, so easy enough to fit into your life routine.
