Brilliant tool, done in no time, no thumbs lost!
I bought the Tacwise 191ELS as I had a lot of chicken wire that I needed to fasten to wooden fencing around the garden. Not only did hate the idea of having to use a hammer and staples for several hours to do this, but some of the fencing was a little old and I didn't want to risk causing damage. Using the 191ELS it was so much easier and I was finished in a fraction of the time that I expected it to take and with no broken thumbs!Very simple to load, very easy to use. Well recommended for all sorts of diy jobs.

excelent value for money compared to rivals
A bit difficult to find the proper position for firing the nails/stapples.Unless you press firmly onto the unit while firing, the staple would protrude 1-2 mm from the surface.Otherwise nice and smooth. Would recomend improving the safety. I believe that a secondary part in the fire buton (as other manifacturers do) would greatly improve the safety. The on/of at rear helps, but is not the most logical solution to me.The value for money is excellent. However, not my experience end with firing nails and staples to just test the capabilities of the tool, no serious load yet.

Tacwise 191ELS Bundle Pack
Tacwise 191ELS Bundle PackI suppose you would label this as a "Hobby Nailgun" it's not the sort of thing you'd build a house with.I've got quite a few DIY jobs coming up this year so thought I'd treat myself to a Nailgun.Trouble is which one? you can spend nearly £500 on a top of the range one that can fire 3" nails.Or £25 on an electric Stapler.Eventually chose this one mainly because of the price and because it comes with a selection of "Ammo"You get 4000 Nails and 2800 Staples with this bundle pack, enough to keep you going for a few projects.I thought the Staples were only for upholstery type jobs, but the 30mm staples were great for repairing a Feather Edge Fence( Probably better grip than the Nails to be honest)You do have to hold the Gun down hard before you press the trigger otherwise the Nails don't go in far enough. After a while you get a bit blase and start trying to "Nail" one handed...this is when the Nails need finishing off with an old fashioned Hammer.Mine did get a Jam whilst using Staples and I couldn't get the "Quick Release Gate" open, had to get some Long Nose Pliers to wriggle the Staple out. What did supprise me is the fact that the Gun will keep on Firing when there's no Ammo left in the Chamber.A few time I turned around to get another Fence Board and the one I'd just "Nailed on" fell off!I think where this Gun really paid for itself is little fiddly jobs...If you've ever tried holding a bit of Trim around a window and holding a 1" brad, then trying to tap it in without hitting your fingers or the glass you'll know what I mean.Like the other reviewers I thought that the Electric Cord is a bit short, apart from that I Love it!

Not a good buy.
This is the second Tacwise 191ELS purchased in the last few years. The first one had an intermittent fault and kept stopping or jamming but it was useable and better than the hand operated items you can buy. Unfortunately due to the constant use of the jam release clip the connecting pin fell our and therefore rendered it useless, so, I purchased another one. Big mistake... This at first use fired a few staples and stopped. I started a returns form as it had only been 24 hours with me but after 10 minute's I gave it another go and it worked.. stopping quite often and jamming but I was able to almost complete my task. Went to use it again after a few weeks, I fires 1 staple and stopped. after 10 minutes it fired another staple, sparked and tripped my electrics and never worked again. Amazon was good enough to accept a return of this item. I would never buy another one. I emailed Tacwise to see if I could have a replacement connector pin to get my old one working but they haven't even bothered to reply. I have since replaced that pin with a panel pin and at least it operates to some extent. I would say that you should consider another brand if you want a nail/staple gun that is reliable.

Tackwise nail gun , it has issues!!.
Bought to replace an older model...This nail gun jams for a pastime... The quick release function, (which I thought was a good addition,as my old model needed to be dismantled with an alen key), broke within the first hour...when the gun jams, the nail is usually stuck between the plunger and the channel giving no free movement of the release system..the pin that allows the release lever to swing up literally exploded into pieces...at the minute I have had to use a bent nail to hold the assembly together until I can find a replacement pin. When using staples I find it tends to fire out two at a time every other shot .Even with the rubber foot, it leaves a slot in the wood where the plunger hits down..this is lessened if you do not apply to much pressure but then it leaves the nails sticking up proud of the work surface ,nothing a hammer ( or your forehead out of complete frustration)won't cure but it defeats the point of having the gun!!!When it works fault free it's a handy tool to have in your arsenal. 5/10

not worth the money
I got this cheap in an amazon flash sale (paid £39). For the price it was a fantastic deal, but I feel really let down that there's a gap in the casing near the switch. I'm assuming that it's nipped a wire or something, I don't want to void the warranty opening it to find out.I could probably return it for a replacement, but I'm a bit disillusioned with the whole thing now. I'm also a bit disappointed at how uncomfortable it rapidly becomes in use. It's an injection moulded case, so it wouldn't have cost anything to make it a bit more gentle on the hands. If you buy one, make sure to wear gloves.I'm also not keen that this has an off/on throw switch. Something that fires nails or staples really feels like it should have an NVR switch, so it's not live if you plug it in without checking the switch, or after a power cut etc.
