Great quality and performance
Needed to change from a previous brass finish to a chrome one after decorating and new doors. This proves to be just as good as the brass version we have. Good size green and red letters for vacant or engaged.

Excellent value and really good quality.
I was dubious as to how good these would be for the price but I've been very pleasantly surprised. The instructions are fine but it's not difficult to put these together - very intuitive. The quality is good, the chrome finish is very good, and the mechanism runs smoothly. I've got these for a downstairs loo and bathroom in the house with a bit of a retro look and they look great once installed. Very happy with them.

Solid and reliable.
I bought three of these for public toilets in a Church building. They are solid, look good and work well - but I did have an issue with one of them. If the front and back mechanisms are not completely lined up, then the mechanism becomes stiff when tightened up and the mechanism in the handle can fall apart. It is simple fixed, but fiddly putting the parts back together. Once properly aligned, all was well.Another issue is that the indicator is not a tight fit to the outer mechanism and so there is a bit of play in the display. This means that sometimes when fully locked or unlocked, the indicator will show 'ACANT' or 'ENGAGE' rather then the full words. This is also easily fixed by a small blob of glue.

Engaged!
It opens, and closes. Our kids were fascinated by this for about a week, now they're not.As a 1 bathroom family, it's a handy device to know at a glance if someone is using the bathroom and saves embarrassing handle wiggling whilst someone yells 'I'm on the loo!'.All in all a very good buy.

It's vacant!! LOL !!
I replaced old bathroom latch with this one.Installing it was not an issue at all, provided you have the right tools. It comes with all the required screwsI gave it 3 stars because the spindle provided is not that strong. I understand it has been sawed for you to break it at required length but if one rotates the lock further when it’s locked then the spindle itself twists. May be that’s the reason why for some words are not fully visible.Overall, the lock does the work but could be made better.

Good product, excellent vendor
I missed the delivery of this item because I am a disorganised fool, these guys re-posted it to me and did not charge me for that even though the delays were all my fault and even though the cost of post vs. the cost of the item is onerous. What a nice bunch, plus this is a sturdy good quality lock, a bit of a bargain, I would highly recommend.

Looks top quality
First impressions were very good - heavy with a look of quality about it.Only slight drawback is that the metal bolt that connects the two pieces has quite a loose fit at each end, so that the vacant/engaged sign doesn't rotate the full 180 degrees - I put some epoxy resin (araldite) into the hole at one end and that helped a lot - there may be a better solution.Overall, though, extremely pleased with this product!

Basic, functional
This catch was easy enough to fit and providing you get the striker lined up, it works smoothly. It's obviously not a high-quality item (but then it does the job) and you might want to use your own screws. The one slight irritation is that the disc with 'Vacant' and 'Engaged' doesn't turn sufficiently with the mechanism (probably too much play between disc and shaft) - so your bathroom will be either 'acant' or 'Engage'.
