Sharp as owt
Extremely well made, worth every penny. After having bought cheaper knives in the past, the quality of this one is obvious. And it's sharp!

Good Value for Money Bought this to replace a Kyocera ...
Is exactly what it says it is...Good Value for MoneyBought this to replace a Kyocera knife we bought years ago in Japan. The kyocera knife got dropped on a ceramic floor and "shattered".Very sharp and brilliant for cutting up meat, fish (as long as there are no bones) and veg.

and nice and sharp
Arrived quickly, and nice and sharp. It's handy to have an individual ceramic knife with a protective sheath because I still use metal knives too because the ceramic knives snap or chip very easily on bones or tough vegetables. Don't use them to remove avocado stones either - that's how I broke the last one, albeit from a different manufacturer. I wouldn't be without a ceramic knife in my kitchen now as they stay sharp so much longer than the metal ones.

Not as sharp as I'd like.
The build quality and container are really fancy, its a very pretty knife that's for sure just 2 things are kind of bothering me.1. It's not as sharp as I was hoping, I see videos of ceramic knives slicing through things like they are nothing where as this blade is just as sharp as any other knife I have and takes effort to slice through paper. Admittidly the overview of the item doesn't boast about extra sharpness so maybe that's my bad for expecting it.2. The rubber cover is a pain in the ass, takes far too much effort to push the knife into that thing.

Its easy to lose a relaxed hand which doesn't help with ...
It lacks bite; so even though it can be wetted with a diamond sharpener its sharpness seems dullish. It gets 3 to 4" on a paper cut test when drawing the knife though. Push cutting....not.The blade is hollow ground and the blade line is raised slightly with a 35 to 40 degree edge applied to it; so it feels quite thick when cutting. Its easy to lose a relaxed hand which doesn't help with control / feel.Out of the box its kinda sharp but lacks that alive vibe I get from my metal knives; inert I suppose, which wouldn't matter to me if it cut like my others.I ordered a diamond sharpener and spent quite some time trying to get it to bite, lowering the blade line of the hollow ground for example. All something of a learning curve. I discovered that its possible to lose the edge, signalled by a gritty feeling as you sharpen. So if it were a burr you'd bring it back but with ceramics it just breaks off. Because of this I'd recommend any one wanting to have a go with this knife to use an electric grinder so a light pressure can be used. It also might be to do with manufacture. Large crystal formation in the zirconium Oxide perhaps?? Any way I spent some time with this and I'm sure I'll periodical have another go to achieve better results. I'll up date if I find a solution.... B;~}

This is probably the best knife I've ever purchased
This is probably the best knife I've ever purchased.It's well weighed, and the edge is beautifully sharp and slices incredibly cleanly.The grip is a rubber-texture non-slip handle, so its easy to keep hold of, even when wet.Overall definitely worth the money, and would definitely buy more products from this company, as the knife itself came with a customer satisfaction card and a company/product leaflet.
