Bought this for up at the stables , perfect for summer , easy to sweep up shavings n hay , not a heavy broom ,high quality at great price what more could you ask for

This is the most popular style of brush in Southern CA, where we till recently lived, everyone has one. But for a closer fit the bristles should be almost half their length and the end cut at a 10 to 15 degree angle.But unfortunately we left ours outside during a brief shower and the handle bent into a very peculiar shape. So this item, unlike our other regular broom’s we keep outside, is definitely not waterproof.

The action on this kind of broom safe hours of toil. It does need some wood glue to put it together and the wooden screw does come apart but easy to put together. It is not totally robust .It lost some straw on the first use....but still it is a real broom and has great action and words well.These wonderful brooms need to be much more used in the UK. far far far better than any push broom.

The straw is very soft so the broom not very effective for outside sweeping, e.g. patio paving. Disappointed.

This brush is excellent. I use it when I muck out my horse and tidy the stable yard. It is very efficient and makes light work of sweeping up. Will certainly get another and would recommend it to anyone (already have).

A traditional corn broom is made so that the besom broom head attaches to the handle with a nail through the head binding of the broomhead into the wood of the handle. This makes it very solid and secure. This should really be made clear on the listing. We've had brooms like this for years from many different places not just from Amazon and I have NEVER had one in two parts that needs to be screwed in.Couldn't be bothered to go to the trouble of returning it and just bought another one. Screw in handles on brooms are never any good anyway because the sweeping motion agitates the handle and over time it will unscrew.I've given it two stars because it comes with a extra long handle which is what I was looking for; most are about 140 and this is 150. Terrible shame about the screw fixture though.LISTING NEEDS AMENDING TO CLEARLY SHOW THIS IS A TWO PART BROOM WITH A SCREW IN HANDLE.

Great broom for getting into the corners of my stable and removing cobwebs without them landing on my head! easy to assemble, well packaged for delivery, broom head is slightly wonky but doesnt affect the usage!
