Slow Goodness
This is a fantastic slow cooker. It's a decent weight, light enough to be carried around easily, and just the right size to make a sizable portion of food without impacting on portability/storage capability. The durability and longevity is very good. I've had this for several years and it still works perfectly after many years. It's pretty easy to clean out due to the smooth inner surface of the pot and despite many stews and curries, it still looks, feels and smells fresh. It has three different heat settings. My experience is high takes 3-4 hours, medium is 5-6, and low about 7-8 hours cooking time. I've left this working over night and while at work and it's been perfectly safe, no issues whatsoever. It cooks everything very thoroughly. Chicken, chopped pork sausage and beef mince cooked well and vegetables were perfect. Other meats I haven't tried, as I tend to grill thicker cuts.Overall, I think this is a wonderful slow cooker. It's simple to use, cooks food really well to a great taste. It's easy to clean and the size is just right for a 3-4 person meal. Highly recommended.

FANTASTIC - LIGHTWEIGHT, NOT HEAVY!!!!
WHAT A DREAM!!!!I don't want to harp on, but it is relevant...... I have Fibromyalgia. I am in chronic pain all of the time. I am exhausted. Everything feels heavy. That's it in a nutshell due to the fact that this is a product review. I bought this Sear and Stew Slow Cooker simply because of convenience. We have a slow cooker already with the usual heavy crock in it and it gets used all the time. My husband needs a lot of food browned first so it's a cooker AND slow cooker deal. I read the details, and all the reviews concerning the Morphy Richards Accents Sear and Stew Slow Cooker and went for it.Well, when it arrived and it was taken out of the packaging I nearly dropped it because it was so light, and then I cried for ages.....I hadn't taken into consideration how light this new slow cooker would be for me. It is such a relief not to heave the empty slow cooker crock (which is obviously dangerous when you haven't got full energy in the first instance) from the old slow cooker across to the sink. I actually hadn't realised how heavy the inside of a slow cooker is!Until now....the lightness of the inside of this new Sear and Stew is amazing! I can lift the whole thing now, even with food in it, to further back on the bench.FOR THE LIGHTNESS IN WEIGHT ALONE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SLOW COOKER, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WITH BACK PROBLEMS, FIBROMYALIGIA, DISABILITIES, CFS etc. (I speak from experience with all of these conditions)Browning food is quick and easy....you throw in the relevant ingredients, brown them, add whatever else you need and start your slow cooking - just as usual. The lid fits fine and dandy. The red is perfect - goes with my new Russell Hobbs Colour Line Toaster AND my cooker....I'm a happy woman!THIS IS A GADGET THAT I RECOMMEND FREELY TO EVERYONE. IT'S A WINNER!!

Love this Morphy Richards slow cooker 3.5L!
After reading many reviews I chose to purchase the Morphy Richards 48703 Sear and Stew 3.5L. This slow cooker is awesome. It is well made, looks attractive, good quality and remains lightweight. It takes up little space in my tiny kitchen. The first time I used it, I chose to BROWN my seasoned meat and chopped vegetables in a normal pan on the stove. I used one pan to brown ingredients in segments and tipped these into the slow cooker pot as I went along. At the end, I turned the heat onto the slow cooker pot for a few minutes on the stove, transferred the pot into the slow cooker base and turned the setting to low. I left this on all night and woke up to the most amazing caramelised chicken casserole, where the meat fell off the bones and the vegetables held their shape. The 3.5L makes a lot of food! If you cook for one, it will last all week. I invited friends over for lunch and it easily served 4 people with leftovers. Cleaning is super easy. Wash the pot and with soapy water and wipe the base. It is really super easy to clean. I also feel very confident leaving it over night or whilst I am away at work all day. As long as you leave enough space at the top, it will not spill over. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
