Just love it , nice and modern recipes
I was scared to buy at first, because it was just one picture of cover and I didn’t know what cons of recipes will be there, but when I got it and started to look, I love it. It’s realy nice and modern cakes and every step is written down . So I am really happy it will be good gift for my fiancé who is pastry chef to get new ideas :)

Very Nice
This book is lovely and full of good recipes. I bought it for my pastry chef partner and he loves it. Photography is brilliant, would definitely recommend as it gives the difficultly of each recipes too.

Starts off good, then carries on with recipes for a simple home entertaining. Not what I expected from a professional book.

Maybe it’s just me…
I don’t want to take anything away from the obvious skill of the author and I’m sure her shop sells amazing cakes but these recipes are choc full of mistakes: both grammatical and measurement related which does not inspire confidence. I also feel (this may just be personal) that having made 5 of these cakes/tarts that they are very sweet, much sweeter than anything I’ve ever eaten in France. I have often found this with American recipes before and am not confident now that I can trust this book to suit my palate.

Not for beginners
What a book!! I have made two recipes, Pistachio Picnic cake and The Cha-Cha. Neither pastry was as pretty as the pictures but they tasted unique and sublime. This book will strengthen your pastry skills and take them to new heights. I recommend this book for any serious pastry enthusiast.

Very well explained!
The recipes in this book are great! I'm a Pastry Cook and am using this book for inspiration. Really wonderful and very well written. I love how the recipes are divided in steps and at the end of the book, you can have a quick explanation of the most used pastry techniques. Definitely recommend
