Reasonably robust, and easy to assemble and disassemble. Provides windows in the top and the front in order to take photographs of the subject. The yellow background is closer to cream than yellow, and the curved area at the back leaves a bit of a shadow when photographed from the front, which is slightly annoying. However, black and white backgrounds are good. This may only have a choice of 3 backgrounds, but there's nothing to stop the user going and picking up some red (or indeed any other colour) card and cutting it to size, so only 3 backgrounds should be ignored as a differentiator when comparing this with alternatives.This model only contains a single illuminating light, and there is an upgraded version of this which provides 2 lights which may provide a beter illumination?Overall a good product and perfect for most amateurs.

I have been looking for one of these for 8+ months - either they were out of stock or pricy. Then I thought I'd take a punt with this one and what a punt! The best £40 I have spent - a amazingly easy little gadget which I have quuickly used for a few jewellery and gemstone pics and they are ace. If its your first time, have a got with this light box. I only wish I could purchase additional light fitting which if JC Ryder can do I wil be happy if they were to get hold of me. Arrived in time and was very well packaged. well done JC

Fairly easy to put together, does exactly what it says on the packet and I've taken some lovely clear photos in it already, perfect for what I need. It was slightly smaller than I wanted but that's really my fault as I'm not good at imaging the size of things but TBH it's more than adequate for what I need
