This product states it smells like essential oil, they do not... they smell like moth balls.. opened one and hung it on our tree for about an hour until our house smelled like a moth ball, threw them all in the trash... would NOT recommend unless you like the smell of moth balls absolutely no essential oil smell...

Doesn't smell well and doesn't keep cats away. Smells like moth balls. There was no peppermint smell at all. They seller was great with getting it to us when promised. Product did come with the balls individually wrapped and came with little mesh bags to put the repellant in.

This cat product is non effective. Cats walk right by the balls and don't even slow down to small the balls. It seems more cats are coming into the yard even though accurate directions are followed, whether tied to trees bushes or on the lawn.

They don't work

The cats immediately walked up to the orange ball and did not have any reaction. The only thing these were good for was stinking up the area.

The media could not be loaded. About 2 years ago a feral cat that lives in our senior retirement community adopted me. This flame point tomcat now sleeps with me every night but during the day he has his own door to stilll enjoy roaming his kingdom.Unfortunately, there are other feral cats that come onto our back porch at night and this upsets Tom greatly. Setting this little storage bowl of peppermint balls, keeps the other ferals away! Because we are in the desert, the balls dry out and I just add drops of peppermint to keep the smell strong.Bcz Tom uses this area to come and go, each morning I replace the lid on the bowl and bring the little balls into the house. This has been a great solution to my problem and I highly recommend trying this if you have problems with critters.
