It will punch a preliminary hole thru 20 mil vinyl fabric then the grommets are smashed in place with the grommet machine no need to buy a punch. I Did plastic tape the rubber handle cushion because it was loose fitting. If attached to a piece of plywood the machine is real stable and speeds up the tarp grommeting work with less hand fatigue. The tarp grommets allow good hold -down of the tarp in windy conditions which is the reason to buy the machine. Job well done without blow off or to much Flapping in the wind.

This broke literally the day after I got it. Poorly made.

The tool itself is great but the grommets are very poor quality; thin and rust easily. Love the tool - hate the grommets it comes with.

L'outil est solide. Pour placer les oeillets c'est simple et efficase. Par contre, pour percer le matériel plus épais cet outil fonctionnera bien si seulement quelques trous à percer. Les oeillets fournit sont de qualité moyenne à base.

Exactly as described. Simple install of the handle. The 3 sizes of rings are plentyful. I used it on a piece of stretch and woven material and it turned out fantastic. There is no need for excessive force when installing the rings. It saves so much time versus the Manuel way with a hammer. 10/10
