Works well but it's heavy
I got this for my wife who's broken her wrist and she's found it very helpful. It's not that sharp but it's heavy so it gives purchase to cut soft foods. It's probably too heavy if you have poor muscle tone.

Forking Food Made easy
Sometimes you have to accept that an illness or disability is going to affect the way you can do things. Like, holding cutlery to eat. Of late, I sometimes have trouble with my left hand, so I wanted something to enable me to lightly cut, and then eat with my right hand. I have been using a cake fork. Yes, really!! It does the job, but, it is a bit small and flimsy in my right hand. This "Knork" as it is called, combination of knife and fork, does what I want and need. It is chunky in the hand, so is more comfortable to hold. Obviously, you do not want it to have a razor sharp edge, otherwise you might just slice your lip, or cut your tongue off, but, I was a bit disappointed that the edges do seem rather tame and blunt. You'd never to be able to do "serious" cutting so you would have to "pre cut" a steak, if that is what yu want to eat. But, I was surprised at how it handled a steak pie, most veggies and fish. I got this for me. If you have hand problems, do talk to you GP or health professional, they may suggest something different. But I am happy.

For £6 it is worth giving it a try and being amazed how well it works.
I got this after breaking my shoulder and needing to keep it immobilised for a couple of months. I was doubtful if the knork would be any good, but I thought I might as well give it a try. I am so glad I did. I am yet to find a food that I cannot cut! Saying that, some tough pork has given me a challenge, but with some persistence and a bit of strength I managed. A word of warning is that it takes a couple of days to learn to use it properly. Rather than slicing you need to rotate to cut. Scoping peas or similar is also a challenge as you have no knife to push them on, but I have found pushing them against potatoes works well. One last thing to mention is that in addition to being a useful tool, it is also a beautiful, well finishing piece of cutlery.

Brilliant product makes my dad not have to struggle so much
Love how easy it was to use I wish I had bought one sooner the knife party isn’t very sharp for like cooking steak and stuff but all I know it does exactly what it says on the tin and I’m quite impressed with it to be fair I would recommend to friends and family I would give it 8 out of 10 but my dad seems to be very happy with it and that’s all that matters.

Love it!
My nondominant hand doesn't work, and while this won't cut through a steak, it's absolutely made mealtime more enjoyable and less embarrassing.

Solid Fork
Great fork, exactly what I wanted. Solid bit of metal and weighty. Pricey but good

Eat One handed with a broken arm or wrist
This works well if you have a broken arm or wrist. I broke my arm and used it. A few years later my daughter broke her wrist and I bought her one as a gift. The knife side is blunt and not very effective, but for most soft food it OK. A friend will have to cut up steak the traditional way.

I just wanted a single fork
My old flatware that I inherited from my mother has gone missing over the past few years and I was in need of a fork. I had one fork for several years but I wanted an extra one. Looked around Amazon and wanted to get something that was at least supported by a US manufacturer. Take note - this Knork was originally released in *2004*, so that should tell you about the longevity of this brand.I bought this Knork mainly for the fork option, and yes the weighting on the Knork is very different. It's heavier on the fork end and lighter on the handle end. As a fork, it does take a few meals to get used to, but all in all it still works well as a fork. For cutting, I tried this on some well done steak and yeah, it didn't get me much results. It was great for veggies and bread though. Smart design. These Knorks are essentially "quality of life" in a fork. It has a nice thick area right above the tines, which lets you use your index finger to really dig into the thing you're cutting. It also has a nice scooped shape which makes it easier to pick food up like a makeshift spoon.Knork seems to sell full flatware sets so I might buy a basic set from these folks because they have a good idea going with this. As you can tell, this is a great flatware for folks who have difficulties with a hand or arm - this allows for one-handed eating and cutting. Well done on Knork for creating something that helps these folks as well!

pretty cool
This fork is heavier than the average with a broad area near the top of the forking to add additional pressure for cutting without a knfe. The tines are beveled to also add to that ability, but are not sharp enough to hurt you. Pretty cool for folks with problems with their hands or just to save getting a knife dirty for no reason. I may have to get more for Christmas gifts or just to have extras. Might be nice to have one for eating in the car...
