I started looking for a new MMO mouse recently, as my Logitech G602 started to double-click after just over two years of moderate to heavy use. My first intention was to just get another one of those, as it did the job and I was generally happy with it. However, I took the time to look around for what else was available. I wasn't getting Razer Naga as they are overpriced for what they are in my opinion. Logitech G600 also didn't look at me, as I don't like to have a ring finger rest area on the mouse, let alone an extra button for it. Even though its price is very attractive nowadays. So I ended up ordering two candidates - Redragon Perdition and Roccat Nyth with the intention to keep the one I like better and return the other. Redragon Perdition 16400 DPI MMO High Precision Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse, 18 Programmable Buttons, Weight Tuning Cartridge, 5 memory profiles, 12 Side Buttons, Power Button, Breathing Light, Omron Micro Switches turned out to be a very good mouse and the price is just amazing at almost 1/3 of what other MMO mice cost. But it didn't suit my fingertip grip very well because of that ring finger rest area. I new it was there when I ordered it of course, but it didn't look too much extra width. Despite Chinese OEM nature, it doesn't feel cheap at all. The quality and materials are fine, the coating is very good and buttons, including the side ones, are informative and very nice to push. I really wanted to go with Redragon Perdition, purely on the price advantage, but I just couldn't overcome the habit as it didn't feel right in my hand. Roccat Nyth, on the other hand, had just that extra edge I needed. Swapable panels on the right side of the mouse is brilliant idea. They make the mouse suitable for every kind of hand an grip type. Customisabe side buttons are even further step in the same direction. It not only allows you to choose the form and the number of buttons you need, but gives you further comfort improvement capabilities. I, for example, use fingertip grip and control the movement with my thumb and ring fingers holding the mouse by its sides. So I removed buttons 6,7,10,11 to make a contact area for my thumb. This way I get perfect comfort holding the mouse and still enough easily reachable side buttons. Something like what Razer Naga Hex offers but with better adjustability. Amazing! Nothing much to comment on build quality and materials. At this price they should be top-notch. And they are. The soft-touch coating, as others mentioned, is more on the smooth side. I personally would prefer to have a bit more texture (like Redragon Perdition has), but it is a thing of personal preference and so far it gave me no discomfort whatsoever. The software is great. I didn't go over it A to Z yet, but every little thing seems to be configurable and programmable, tons of options there. Works perfectly on Win10 64, updated itself and the mouse firmware on the first run. No complaints here. I can't comment on the longevity yet, obviously. If it lasts over two years like my G602 did, then it fulfilled it purpose :) Anything under a year will be a disappointment. Hope this review helps. December 2018 UPDATE: It's been over 2 years of moderate use. The mouse is 100% functional like it was on day one. No double-clicking no issues whatsoever. Software is being updated regularly too. I can now definitely say it was a great buy. Recommended.

First, it's worth knowing that I changed to this mouse from a Logitech G602, which I liked a lot. That being said, the issues I have with the Nyth are relative to that mouse. I also have large hands and play MMOs, mainly WoW. This is a great mouse. Simple as that if you want the TL;DR version. Thing is, despite the massive customization this mouse offers, that's not what you're paying for really. Once you have the layout you want, the fact this mouse can be customized is all but redundant from then on. So what you pay for is getting a mouse tailored for your personal play style. As such, there is nothing like it out there (yet?). I'd say that in general, this mouse suits normal to larger hands more than small hands. Which is nice as the Naga all but has the tiny hand people covered. The feel of the mouse is pretty nice with a sort of slick, rubberised finish to it. Only down side there is, is that I can imagine that it's going to ware to a shiny gloss finish over time. we'll see. The feel of the clicking and side buttons is rather soft compared to other mice I've used, and this is either something you'll like or hate about the mouse. I'd prefer more precise and defined feel to the main left/right clicks. the side buttons are soft, but not mushy. Again, I'd rather have had a harder click or even mechanical switches, but that may not be possible with the custom button layout system and would almost certainly up the price. I'm already getting used to the softer feel and it doesn't effect my play at all. The Swarm software is pretty comprehensive with options for everything you need and stuff you don't. Worth noting that there isn't a disk included, but that's not an issue for the target audience for this mouse anyway. Although it could be made clearer in the supplied paperwork where to go to get the Swarm suite. I could do without the lighting system this mouse offers. I don't see the point of it when I cover it all with my hand, and even if I could see it, who looks at their mouse anyway? Still, for those that like that stuff, it's there with a ton of options for colours and effects. Overall, this is a high performance mouse that will give you the layout you need/want with a TON of options. If Roccat make a mechanical one, it will pretty much be the perfect mouse.

Hallo, es kommt selten vor das ich mal eine Rezension zu einem Artikel abgebe, in dem Fall dieser Maus fühle ich mich aber quasi verpflichtet dazu :) Die Maus ist, wie von Roccat beworben äußerst Vielseitig zu verwenden, ja auch Ego Shooter Spieler könnten gefallen an dieser Maus finden, ob sie aufgrund ihres Sensors etwas für Counterstrike Spieler ist wage ich zu bezweifeln jedoch ist sie quasi perfekt für die Battlefield Jungs ! Durch ihre 2 austauschbaren Seitenteile lässt sie sich von beiden "Griff Typen" benutzen, die Schmale Schale macht das Gerät zu seiner sehr angenehmen Maus für die CLAW Spieler, die breite Schale garantiert perfekten Sitz für die PALM GRIP Spieler (zu denen auch ich gehöre) Ich habe eine durchschnittliche Handgröße, Personen mit kleinen Händen sollten die Maus jedoch erstmal testen, das könnte schwierigkeiten verursachen. Desweiteren ist die Oberfläche der Maus mit einer Beschichtung versehen wie ich sie sonst noch bei keiner Maus gesehen habe. Ich hatte schon viele Mäuse in benutzung wie die Razer Naga, die Roccat Kone XTD, die Logitech G600 um nur einige zu nennen, und keine hatte eine so angenehme Beschichtung. Die Maus fühlt sich dadurch an wie aus Silikon gefertigt, nicht klebrig sondern "weich und trocken".... Für schwitzende Hände grade beim PALM GRIP absolut kein Problem ! Die Beleuchtung ist sehr dezent und in allen erdenklichen Farben einstellbar, weiterhin kann man festlegen ob die Maus Blinken, Atmen oder einen Herzschlag nachahmen soll. Diese Effekte lassen sich dann noch an die Mausbewegung anknüpfen.... nettes Gimmick aber sind wir mal ehrlich.... wer schaut beim Zocken auf seine Maus ? Ich nicht ! Daher nun zu den Tasten und dem was die Maus ausmacht. Links und Rechtsklick Tasten sind präzise und "stramm" da wird nichts ausversehen ausgelöst ! Das Mausrad ist sehr schön gummiert und hat eine straffe Rasterung was mir sehr gut gefällt. Der Mausradklick ist ebenfalls schön stramm. Vor dem Mausrad befindet sich die dedizierte Taste für die Easy Shift Funktion wodurch sich jede Taste der Maus nochmals anders belegen lässt. Ich nutze diese Funktion nicht und habe mir auf den Button daher eine Hotkey kombination gelegt um mein Mikrofon zu muten.... sehr nützlich wie ich finde. Die "Finne" hinter dem Mausrad ist für mich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig gewesen, ich habe zuvor diese Kippfunktion am Mausrad genutzt, das kann die Nyth nun nichtmehr, stattdessen gibt es diese Finne welche diese Funktion ersetzt..... wie gesagt gewöhnungsbedürftig aber durchaus benutzbar und keinesfalls Störend. Nun zum Großen Verkaufsargument für diese Maus, den Seitentasten. Junge Junge Junge sind die Möglichkeiten endlos mit diesem Feature ! Dieses Tastenfeld ist so unfassbar anpassbar das sie selbst für reine Schooter games einsetzbar ist indem man sich die Tasten so wie man sie braucht konfiguriert. Das Gefühl der Tasten ist sehr ordentlich, sie sind mechanisch, das merkt und hört man. Der Druckpunkt ist klar definiert wodurch nach kurzer eingewöhnung an die Maus ein versehentliches Drücken der Seitentasten zur Rarität wird. Ich bin von der Razer Naga 2014 zu dieser Maus umgestiegen, die Razer hatte auch Mechanische Daumentasten, die sich allerdings bei weitem nicht so gut angefühlt haben wie bei der Roccat jetzt ! Was mich anfangs etwas gestört hat war das Layout der Tasten, dieses ist nämlich im Vergleich zur Razer Naga einmal um 90 Grad gedreht so das die obere Horizontale Reihe die Tasten 1-4 enthalten, bei der Razer war es die erste vertikale Reihe welche die Tasten 1-3 enthielt.... Zu meiner erleichterung kann man im Treiber "Roccat SWARM" Jedoch selbst diese Daumentasten komplett frei belegen, so konnte ich dann mein gewohntes Tastenfeld der Razer auf der Roccat nachbilden, natürlich sind die physischen Tasten jetzt quasi "falsch" nummeriert, aber wie bereits oben erwähnt... wer schaut beim Zocken auf seine Maus ? Ich nicht =) Einziges Manko an dieser sache ist das sich die Tasten nicht komplett Frei positionieren lassen auf dem Tastenfeld, die physikalischen Keycaps sind so vorgeformt das die Taste 4 zum beispiel nicht auf die Position der Taste 2 passt.... Dafür wird es dann wohl in Zukunft Drittanbieter Tasten geben, denn Roccat hat ja seine 3D Druck Daten freigegeben so das sich quasi jeder seine eigenen Tasten anfertigen kann. Zusammenfassendes Fazit von mir: Wahnsinn - Was für eine geniale Maus ! Ich für meinen Teil bin weg von Razer..... die Roccat hat es tatsächlich geschafft den Platzhirsch unter den MMO Mäusen den Platz abzulaufen, zumindest für mein Empfinden =) Tolle Leistung Roccat ! Il prodotto è fantastico, la personalizzazione dei tasti di sinistra, più la parte intercambiabile di destra per un'impugnatura comoda fanno di questo prodotto sicuramente il top di gamma. Certo il prezzo non è ancora competitivo ma credetemi ci vale tutti i soldi. Il laser è fantastico da una sensazione ancora migliore dei vecchi Roccat che ho avuto. La qualità della rotellina, tallone di Achille Roccat, è stata ampiamente superata a quanto pare, la rotellina è completamente nuova e mai vista finora, molto solida precisa e comodissima, più larga del normale. I vari software Roccato sono arrivati ad un livello altissimo, configurazioni e controllo del pc tramite smartphone. Voto assolutamente 10! Amazon come sempre perfetto.

Dos años después y alternando su uso con otros láser, no lo cambio por nada. Principalmente por el botón dorsal (parece mentira pero lo echaría bastante de menos) y poder programar todos los botones. 100% recomendable.

Le choix de ma note: Maximum d'étoiles, oui elle est cher, mais moins ici qu'ailleurs, superbe souris gamer. Ce que j'aime: Les boutons personnalisables à volonté pour tout type de jeu, la matière de la souris même après des heures de jeux, la main reste sèche, la prise en main pour grosse ou petite main est parfaites, la possibilité d’être modulable à la main et très pratique,les clic souris sont discrets et de très bonne qualité sans trop de bruit, la réactivité est parfaite, bref une souris certes cher mais un très bon investissement pour un joueur mmo ou moba. Ce que je n'aime pas: je dirais dans la boite qui va avec la souris la sortie des boutons n'est pas trop simple, la qualité de la boite fait un peu plastique de base, la seule petite chose aussi est l'emplacement des Bouton à coté du pousse, ils sont à mon gout un peu trop en arrière, ce qui oblige à prendre la souris un peu trop en arrière si vous voulez avoir toutes les touches sous le pouce, ce qui peux crée dans le temps des douleurs. En conclusion: Globalement cette souris est parfaite sur beaucoup de chose, une vraie souris pour Gamer quand même plus Pro ou Hard Gamer, je la recommande vraiment.
