A Christmas hit.
Have to say as far as extract IPA's go. This is delicious. I dry hopped my beer with simcoe, Nelson sauvin and chinook for four days, getting progressively colder each day (down to 14oC). Bottled half and stored the other half in a pressure keg. It took just over 1 month for my beer to be ready from start to bottle opening day which was Christmas Day.I sneakily added it as a choice of beer at my Christmas dinner with the family. The results were outstanding. Everyone enjoyed it and some people couldn't believe I had made it.I'm now moving on to brew in a bag brewing. But if extract IPAs are what you are looking for. I would highly recommend.

Brewmaker IPA home brew kit
This was my first attempt at a home brewing so I chose this Brewmaker IPA kit, after checking through many reviews.Once in the barrel, the reviews suggest the beer will benefit with an 8 week laying up period before starting to drink. The end product then was 4.7 for specific gravity strength, & spot on for colour !I now agree with other reviewers where you would struggle to blind taste this as an IPA;.The poured pint won't hold a head immediately after pouring from the barrel, but there was a 'sparkle' on the tongue.I think the barrel would have benefited with an injection of CO2 to help produce a pub pint type head. However get over that & as a 'Bitter' it has a very slight sweet taste other than hoppy, but none the less is very drinkable over & above many supermarket bottled beers !I'm going to continue to look for an IPA Kit, but this Brewmaker IPA kit has encouraged me immensely to continue with home brewing !I made sure my Home Brew preparation for this brew was optimal, & that included Buxton bottled water rather than tap, spray malt instead of sugar, a purchase of a home brew heat pad to keep the brew bucket temperature in range, & an auto siphon for the brew transfer to the barrel.

Good taste
I've been brewing for about a year now and have done 8 barrels so far. Out of all the brews I've tried this is by far the best tasting and this is now the 3rd occassion I have used the product. One improvement you may want to consider is rather than using the brewing sugar, consider a beer enhancer instead as you will find the fermenting process results are better. Will definitely be coming back for more.

Great IPA
I have used Coopers for my IPA brewing in the past but thought I would give Brewmaker a try as it is cheaper. The result is excellent and I was not too accurate with the times and temperatures that Brewmaker recommend.I would advise using the light spray malt instead of sugar (I used 500g spray malt/500g sugar) This gives a really smooth brew.
