Great box of over 4kg of Cherry Wood
A great box of Cherry Pieces. 6 to 8cm in the main. 4kg plus in weight. Cannot be exact as won't fit on my scales!Arrived swiftly. The wood is great quality. Good strong cherry smell. Not over weathered and not green. Was skeptical at first, as you can and I have in past got more for less from a local tree surgeon but it was green and I had to leave to season. Some might have seasoned ready to go. But this a convenient midst Corona Virus purchase so a good amount and swift delivery.Eagerly threw a smaller chunk in a jug of water and weighed it down to soak for 20 minutes whilst I prepared some smash burgers to throw on my Blaze Kamado. The piece piece on a reasonably high heat fire gave the beef burgers and the melting cheese I applied to them a light cherry smoke flavoring. Given it was a cook time of at most 10 minutes, the effect was good given the low exposure time and the high heat and therefore draft through in the Blaze Solid Kamado for rapid seer on the burgers.I haven't tried and of the other woods yet but plan too. I suspect this box which was well packed should last me about a year, working on an average of two long smokes on the Blaze, each month. Maybe longer. So pleased for the price, quality and speed of delivery.

great for smoking
Using these in a bullet smoker (ProQ Frontier); this is properly dried and clean wood, in roughly double-fist sized chunks; I use 2 times 3-4 chunks in the first 2 hours which gives great smoke and flavour. At those levels the box will get me through the BBQ year easily (and it's no real expense per BBQ use, so I treat myself to the affordable luxury). If you want to be scientific read books like Meathead for the meat/wood pairings, I used the cherry for both brisket and pulled pork and it was perfectly fine. Don't overdo and wait for the smoker to temperature stabilise before you put them in (if the smoker is open they get too much oxygen and will start to burn with a flame which forfeits the purpose)

Brilliant Oak Wood chunks
Great product, going through the box delivered all the pieces are off a consistent size, the bark is flakey and easy to remove (if your preference). This wood has clearly been dried to a very good standard no smell of damp. In fact the wood smells wonderful. I purchased Oak for smoking briskets and pork shoulders. I thoroughly recommend this.I tend to do 50/50 Oak And Apple wood for beef and pork. So 2 oak chunks and 2 Apple wood chunks. The oak adds a wonderful deep smokey flavour and the apple woods adds sweetness and a wonderful mahogany red colour to the meat.

Good wood.
Ordered the beech wood, as it's a good 'all purpose' smoking wood and works with most most meats and fish.It came on time and I got a good quantity of wood for my money, I'd say it was very good value compared to the higher £/Kg that some companies like weber are charging - if you can even get it - a lot of sellers are out of stock!I'd say there was a range of sizes of the chunks from door - wedge sized pieces up to a Rubik's cube. I'd prefer it if it was all of the larger size, but I'm sure it will all get used - hence 4 and not 5 stars.Other than that, I used it today to smoke a load of ribs on my smokey mountain and it was a top result. If you're looking for wood for your smoker, buy this stuff - is say it's the best out there at the moment.

Great flavour, and value for money
Thought I would write a review as I have found this smoking wood one of the best I have used, not just the flavour, which was Apple Wood, but the quality and value for money is fantastic, first time I have ordered from Grilling Wood and very impressed. My box of Apple chunks arrived much quicker than stated which was a nice surprise, and the quality of the packaging and contents is high, good fist sized chunks, not much bark which some people say is a bonus however I'm not that fussy, and perfectly dried. The chunks will quite happily smolder lightly and burn well with a clean smoke, clean flavour, and add a stunning taste baby back ribs :-)Thanks guys and look out for my next order to top up my oak chunks.

I'll be back for more!
I rarely leave feedback, but I thought my smoking brethren deserved to know that I highly recommend this product. I live on a small Island so have to order pretty much everything I need for grilling / smoking. I have always bought bags of Weber wood chunks, but of late it's proved difficult finding the wood I wanted. Looked at these a few times and thought for 20 quid, I'd give it a punt, and I'm glad I did. I ordered a box of cherry and the wood itself looked to be of a very high quality. The box was packed full, 5KG. A bag of Weber is 1.5KG and was costing me between £14 and £20 depending on the wood, so that's a no-brainer. The chunks are a really good size, I had to split a couple though, which is no bad thing, not a lot of bark either. Tried them out smoking 4 chickens for a gathering at a friends and not only did I love the flavour, but so did the other 15 people there. I'll definitely be ordering this product and the others from these guys in the future.
