This is an amazing microwave....so far. Still exploring it as only had it 2 days. It is incredibly easy to use and the flatbed technology means there's much more space available inside. It looks stylish and gets the job done, from the functionality I've used so far. Absolutely delighted and highly recommend this product.

Living on an island I had a unique problem with turntable microwaves, in a very short space of time, the turntable platform would go rusty as the friction weakens the paint away and the sea air accelerated the dreaded rust. A flatbed resolves this problem, hence my choice. However, this review is to say just how impressed I am with this SHARP microwave in other areas. I’ve had this microwave 2 months so far, I will never go back to a turntable version, and Sharp has exceeded my expectations in all areas. It’s a nice standard size but with great interior volume, cleaning is so easy that it’s done every time with a simple wipe with kitchen roll or towel, you can’t do that with a turn table in the way. The settings are just easy to get along with and nothing complicated. Quick start is 30 seconds a push, a couple of taps and it’s great. At 900w it’s getting two potatoes done in 8 min (12 if they are big ones) that’s 50% quicker than my turntable one so it’s more energy efficient and convenient. It looks very good, quality materials used throughout, I think this will live for a long time. Its longevity increased by easy maintenance. 100% recommended, put simply, they have nailed it! This is definitely the one to choose (price / quality / ease of use)

It’s a good microwave, although it doesn’t always heat the way I want—maybe I’m not using the right settings (I mostly just press start for general heating, so it’s the universal option). The flat surface is brilliant for cleaning. It has tons of functions for someone who likes to explore them, but for me, it’s a bit too much.

Not cooked anything as only arrived today but have heated soup, coffee etc. and am very happy with my purchast. Easy to set up and use. Highly recommend.

This is my first flatbed, and I don't think I'd go back to a turntable. It is easy to clean and the non-stick lining is great and looks well made. Just a wipe with a soapy cloth. The microwave cooking seems uniform (I really use for ready-meals), and I can use larger and rectangular containers too. This is also the first time that I've had an inbuilt grill and it is impressive with almost instant heat and cooking fish was quick and they browned nicely. Jacket potatoes are fast plus get a crispy jacket. You can use a combination of microwave+grill and can select the proportion of each to be used and here the instruction manual is very useful. For simple microwaving it works so logically even a child could guess it, if they can overcome the child lock! Strangely, and cleverly, the control panel won't work until you open the door, so little fingers don't start it accidentally. (After the initial opening the controls work whether the door is open or closed). A niggle, and I was about to return the machine because of it until I worked out what the instructions meant: the beep is loud and it beeps a lot. It will beep when the cooking is done and then beep every two minutes until you open the door. Poor neighbours! However you can mute the sound completely: open the door, press the child lock once, quickly, and "off" appears briefly. The downside though is it doesn't tell you when the cooking has finished. Overall, excellent machine, large enough for couples (bigger version available for families), it is compact, well made and I'd recommend it, even with the b**ping beeping sound!

This machine is the next level in microwave technology. My original microwave oven required food to be moved about in stages to get heated through because the microwave energy was a fairly narrow beam that was selected around inside the oven but was never as effective as when the next generation with a revolving glass plate, automatically moved the food and made heating more effective. The misnomer that microwaves cook from the inside outwards was obviously wrong, as defrosted food was still frozen in the middle, whilst almost cooked on the outside. The new Sharp flat bed microwave technology really works! I wascastonishedvat how good it really is and the machine is so easy to operate and keep clean. The scattergun microwaves truly penetrate is all directions evenly heating whatever you put in there. It is 25L capacity and all of the space can be used unlike and rotating plate version which is limited to the size of the glass plate. I absolutely love this machine and so glad I bought it.

I used the combination oven for the first time after owning this for 13 months (just out of warranty). Initially, there was lots of smoke from the upper element and a loud, constant scraping noise from the fan. I opened up the back to find the fan had completely rusted out and was scraping on the metal. I adjusted the fan away from the metal and cooked my meal. Next day, I went to use the microwave function but after 3 minutes, it threw the house fuses and is now inoperable. What a complete waste of money.

This microwave is simple use and best of all "no turntable" makes it easy to clean, more internal space allowing square/rectangular cookware to be used (Microwave safe that is). This particular model is not available in Australia, I wanted it because it fits into my caravan perfectly (and no turntable). Thanks to Amazon for importing it from the UK. (same mains voltage as Australia).

Very happy with this, took a few minutes to figure out how to use and set the clock etc, but once that was sorted it is easy peasy. I feel that microwave design has finally moved forwards instead of being stuck in the past with turntables and plastic bits that enable the turntable to go round and round! Easy to use, easy to clean, easy on the purse - what's not to like? Oh yeah, maybe the fact the price went down 5% inbetween me ordering it and delivery but I am so happy with this item, I don't even care!

Microwave looks great, but was sent with a UK plug to Australia. Don't want to cut the plug off otherwise I would void my warranty. Unfortunately, I will have to return it.
