Removes a cork in less than 10 seconds! No more huffing and puffing just to enjoy a glass of your favourite drop of wine. The Electric Wine Bottle Opener "Boston" removes wine corks with ease and style. The elegant device with its black soft-grip surface doesn’t just look good, it also performs!Four 1.5V AA batteries create distinctively more power than most other electric bottle openers on the market. If desired, the bottle opener can also operate on rechargeable batteries. The use of replaceable batteries (instead of a 230V charging station) has two unbeatable advantages. Trendworx 5178 Electric wine-bottle opener "Boston"
Trendworx 5178 Electric wine-bottle opener "Boston"It does exactly what it says it does, one of the few corkscrew designs Ive come across that actually remove the whole cork, all the way out the bottle, without leaving that last, stubborn 1/4 inch!! It also ejects the cork afterwards without need for some kind of garage tool! Which is more than can be said for a lot of corkscrews. So in that score it works very well. The 4 common or garden AA alkaline batteries it needs, can be picked up for next to nothing on the net. It claims to open 70 bottles on 1 set of these, which seems plenty for home use. But there's nothing to stop you using rechargeables or even lithium ion cells, if that's what floats your boat.I bought this for my elderly mother when I found she didnt have the strength in her wrists to use a manual corkscrew. Once I showed her to hold the bottle in one hand and the bottom of the corkscrew with the other -she quickly picked up how to use it, and she hates "machines". Our 3 or 4 manual corkscrews, she calls "screwdriver machines" (-bless), and has difficulty using them, but she took to this Trendworx electric one straight off: "Oh, that's good!". So it was a big hit in the kitchen! Its easy to use and seems pretty sturdy, and the rubber coating gives a sure grip. It would be useful for the elderly or physically challenged. What more can you say than it does exactly what it says on the box!

Trendworx really works
Brilliant gadget I have an arthritic right hand and this really does do what it says - just one touch. You put it over the bottle and press -it inserts into the bottle and removes cork in one step.To release cork you you press again .............Best gadget I have bought this year.Already bought another for a present

excellent product
Purchased this for my mother as I thought he bottle opening technique using conventional cork screw devices. I found that she had already started using it before I could demonstrate it for her. The batteries were easy to fit and she liked the fact that it took ordinary alkaline AA batteries with no initial charging period required. This is a fine gizmo. Liked the fact that it ejects the cork quite easily. I might buy one for myself now.

Awful
Impossible to work and very unreliable. Would definitely not recommend as we have not managed to open a bottle successfully and now it has stopped working altogether after 4 months.
