Honest review from a novice- best tent ever.
Best tent ever. I never leave amazon reviews but I needed to share my experience as I found tent shopping very stressful!I purchased this tent for a 4 night trip to Silverstone in July 24. I was going on my own, I hadn't camped since I was 12 & was clueless to what I needed and how to put up a tent. This tent is worth every penny and more.Firstly the tent is super easy to put up. I'm 5ft1 was on my own & managed to put the tent up quite quickly with no issues. I did practice twice at home, instructions fairly clear. Its light weight to carry and transport. The main thing - durability. This tent was one of the few that survived the worst downpour & storms last July. For content It was thundering, severe winds of 40 mph+ & the camp side flooded - a lot of people actually had to go home because their tents were submerged in water but this little tent didn't leak or collapse!! Very expensive tents ended up getting abandoned and the air tents collapsing. The wind was so bad the corporate clamping tents blew away but not this thing!! Im still in disbelief that it didn't flood! Now if a review says the tent leaked there's one of two reasons. Either 1. It was damaged prior to putting it up. 2. It wasn't put up right. As with all tents I would recommend sitting it on an extra groundsheet. The only issue I had was water coming into the entrance mat because theres a small gap but thats a design flaw on a lot of tents. But if youre looking for a festival tent this is the one! Sizing wise it is small. Two adults will only just fit in comfortably, I'd recommend sizing up if you have a lot of bags or don't have anywhere else to put clothes (i.e a car).

Perfect UK festival tent
I recently took the Coleman Darwin 3 Plus BlackOut tent to download and couldn’t be more pleased. Setup is fast and intuitive. The standout feature is the BlackOut Bedroom design: it blocks allegedly up to 99% of daylight, id say it's bit less but definitely means you can sleep in until your alarm, and it keeps the tent interior up to ~5 °C cooler during hot afternoons. I don't know if it's exactly the 5° stated by Coleman but even a couple degrees makes a big difference from 24° to 21° it's definitely noticeable.Plus, with a 4 500 mm hydrostatic head, SPF 50 UV protection, a porch area for muddy boots and good ventilation, it’s built for festivals. It fits a double air bed with room at the side for bags and a good size source for chairs or cool box.Overall, it’s a great mid-size, festival-ready tent that strikes a solid balance between comfort, convenience, and blackout performance

Fantastic space, easy set up
Used for the first time weekend just gone with a friend. First time setting up did take us around 20 minutes as not experts, but both agreed next time would take half that time. Space inside is superb, snug for 4 people but used as 2 for this stay and so much spare room. Porch fantastic for storage/bags. Ventilation is OK but main priority is keeping rain out which it certainly is after we endured a 30 min heavy downpour. Would advise on eye-mask for sleeping as not built great to keep sun out. Fully recommend for all you first time campers as very affordable option for features included!

Great Value Tent, Kid-Approved!
The Coleman Darwin tent was delivered quickly and in perfect condition, and it’s been a fantastic addition to our family camping gear. It’s super easy to pitch, waterproof, and ideal for weekend trips. My two young sons were thrilled when it arrived—they couldn’t wait to set it up and turned it into their own little fort in the garden. They even begged to sleep in it that very night! The front porch area is great for keeping their backpacks and muddy boots out of the main space. Solid build, good ventilation, and excellent value—we’re really pleased with it.

Do not Buy
Do not buy this tent .Having purchased this tent for our holiday to the Hebrides , we were bitterly disappointed. A good sized tent but ,Not sturdy enough for moderate winds and heavy rain. The fibre glass poles collapsed in first wind 10-18mph. Second night of holiday, consequently when it rained it poured through. Not sturdy enough for the outer lining. Also the guy ropes are placed to low down on outer skin. Needs to be Y shape join.Tried to put it up again after four days, but the fibre glass poles , were bent from wind and they just completely collapsed .Consequently I would never recommend buying this tent.

Great budget tent
Great entry-level tent. Easy to set-up and store. I went with the 2 people version and it’s actually quite roomy (although both me and my partner are both slim). Ventilation could be improved with larger windows or a second entrance.

Good size for 3
Took this tent to Skye/Scotland. There was just me and one other adult with bags. Would be OK for 3 adults and bags but a bit of a squish with 4. Has the porch bit at the front which is ideal. It did rain but not a great lot,no heavy storms, but didn't leak at all and stayed dry. Only downside to this tent, for me personally is that when you open the main door after it's rained, due to the angle the door is on,the rain flows off the door and into the porch all over the floor. I don't have the zip for easy cable access either which was awkward but we worked around that. I have mobility issues and my sharing partner has issues with hands but between us both as a first time setup it took around 10mins to put up. It does go.bavk in the back with some thought along with all poles and pegs, and we even managed to fit a groundsheet in the bag too, despite the bag being quite small. It looks good,it's sturdy,it was waterproof for our 1 night if rain, and fit in the bag. Can't complain and if it's on offer,I recommend you grab it whilst you can. Seriously underrated tent that's worth much more than what is sold for.
