For some reason, my original pot would leak while pouring. It must have something to do with expansion when it got hot, because it didn’t leak when testing it with cold water. Replacement works just like it should.

This is a perfect fit for our Cuisinart 12-Cup coffee maker. In fact, when pouring the water into the coffee machine there is no leakage. The original craft leaked water down the side—so that’s a BIG plus! This one stains easier and takes a bit of scrubbing to clean, and the reason for 4-stars. Good quality, holding up nicely, easy pour with no leaks, color matches great, great value for money!

This was the 3rd time that I have had to replace the carafe for my Cuisinart model DCC-3200 coffee maker. This particular carafe is very good quality and from what I recall about the original, this one is just like it. After breaking the original carafe, I replaced it with a generic universal carafe from my local discount retailer, but that model was cheap, very thin glass and after just a few months of use, I broke that one too. This model sold by Amazon is clearly superior—the glass is thicker, the carafe feels solid in my hand, and when I pour the coffee it does not drip/spill annoyingly like that *other* generic replacement carafe did. I am very happy with this carafe.My only complaint is that when I wash it in the dishwasher (and I have to turn it upside down to do that), the plastic handle is hollow and open at the bottom so it fills up with water in the dishwasher just like a cup—and when I remove it from the dishwasher, the water accumulated in the handle spills everywhere. I have to remember to remove it carefully from the dishwasher and turn it right-side-up *over the sink* to empty that water out of the handle. It seems like a simple modification to add a “cap” on the bottom of the hollow handle to keep it from filling with water would be a nice improvement. Overall, that is a small complaint in relation to the otherwise great product that this is. I’m happy to have this replacement carafe and do recommend it.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. Got it as a replacement glass carafe for the (now discontinued) Cuisinart DGB-400 model. Works perfectly fine. Yes, it comes with the lid. Will buy again when my mother breaks it in the sink, again. 5 out of 5
