Hanging a plate is always a worry. Will it hold..but these are tried and tested I have used them for a few plates

This is perfect for hanging a 4" plate.The wire is strong enough to hold the plate, yet has enough flexibility for small adjustments.I considered the stick-on type, but I know that I would always be worrying about it coming unstuck. Let's face it, if you like something enough to display it on the wall, you don't want to lose it by using a dodgy hanger, do you? This one is slightly noticeable (the wires), but it is as secure as they come.

I bought this because I had a small (4inch square) tile I wanted to hand in a bathroom and was worried about the effectiveness of self-adhesive hangers in steamy environments. It was just the job - and I had thought I wouldn't be able to find any traditional hangers this small. As usual with wire plate hangers, you need to use point-nose pliers or suchlike to make sure the wire hooks properly round the edges of what you are hanging, but when that's done, it is perfect. One star knocked off only because the white plastic covering of the wire is quite soft and can be roughed-up a bit by the pliers unless you are careful - but that's being picky, as you can't really see it anyway.
